The MADNESS OF JILL CLARK, PART TWENTY-ONE, Jeffrey M. Roth Is "The Man Behind The Loon"

Many hours have been spent, many beverages consumed, as members of the North Minneapolis "revitalizer class" discuss loony attorney Jill Clark and what on earth drives her. Of equal interest has been, "How on earth does she bankroll her legal lunacy?"

Clark's many cracked and wrongheaded lawsuits against North Minneapolis citizens have distorted our neighborhood politics to such a degree that even if she is disbarred in the current disciplinary proceedings against her, (please, GOD!) or even if she never manages to fight her way back from "inactive disability" status, (just as good, oh, LORD!) our neighborhood will still bear permanent economic and psychological scars from a dark period in our history when Clark ran around without a leash, suing decent people in lawsuits that dragged on forever but ultimately went NOWHERE.

Now, in the course of the much-deserved disciplinary proceedings against her, some kind of answers are finally emerging from the mysterious black box which has concealed the inner workings of Clark's weird world...

A STrib article about Jill Clark and her partner, Jill M. Waite, has always been a kind of "Rosetta Stone" to understanding Jill Clark. Many times I have referred back to this article or linked to it. 

How, then, did I fail to follow up on a valuable clue in that article contained in these two sentences?

She (Jill Clark) is married to a man she met via a personals ad a few years ago. She said they were brought together by their mutual recovery from alcoholism.

Checking the property record on Jill's home slash office at 2005 Aquila Avenue North, in Golden Valley, the name Jeffrey M. Roth appears. Well, there's a lot of people with that name. But only one lists himself as the "Chief Technology Officer at Jill Clark PA."

It was apparently in his role as "Chief Technology Officer" at Clark's law firm that he locked Clark out of phones, email and computer when she had supposedly been awake for seven days straight.

All things considered, it looks like this guy makes a pretty good living. So does marriage to this fellow explain how Jill Clark is able to take bone-headed lawsuits which seem doomed from the start, with clients who (from outward appearances) don't seem to have the means to pay an attorney to endlessly litigate on their behalf?

Is Jill's maddening litigation hobby being bankrolled by this grinning goof pictured above? And what happens to their little world if Clark loses her law license?
