Documents that recently became available on the PACER federal court website, and were kindly forwarded to me, tell a dramatic story of attorney Jill Clark's purported health issues and yet another attempt (almost certainly hopeless and futile) to remove her lawyer disciplinary case from state court to federal court.

According to a document filed by the Honorable Judge Gerald R. Seibel, who is the judicial referee in Clark's disciplinary proceedings, a telephonic conference was scheduled for June 21 to deal with preliminary matters before a contested hearing on June 25. The Honorable Judge must have been a little surprised when, instead of Jill Clark on the telephone line, instead he found himself talking to Jeffrey M. Roth, Clark's husband...

Julian Anderson, age 15, a/k/a "Funny Moe" has been revealed by this blog to be the second (accused) shooter in the murder of Nizzel George, age 5.

Now one of my alert behind-the-scenes researchers has turned up YouTube video which seems to be "Funny Moe" in action. In the video, which is only 26 seconds, Funny Moe fights somebody nicknamed "BD Hagi."

One of the participants in the fight is wearing Golden Gopher apparel, like that worn by BD DQ Ynt (Donquarius Copeland) the accused killer of Rayjon Gomez.

During the video, something can be heard yelled about "Facebook." The scuffle, which appears half real and half staged, takes place in what appears to be the middle of the street. I would assume Funny Moe is the guy in light colored clothing, since the other guy's name is "BD" something and the particular group using "BD" as a label wears Golden Gopher apparel. But I'm not sure enough to bet anything on it.

After eating at Good Sports, I took my son home to his mom and kept on driving down I-35, to Camp Shelby, Mississippi, to deploy overseas. So when I went to Good Sports the other day, once again with my son, and as usual we had flavorful chicken wings with amazing secret spices, I said to myself, "I am back. I am really and truly back. Jill Clark, the "cracked crusader" whose numerous lawsuits on behalf of "bad actors" in North Minneapolis have single-handedly distorted neighborhood politics for half a decade, is now facing disciplinary proceedings by the Minnesota Lawyers Board of Professional Responsibility.

In one dozen recent articles, this blog has reported the nitty gritty developments of this bizarre case. But it's hard to tell what the latest development means. Paul Stepnes, a kooky property developer who is one of Clark's clients, filed what appears to be a Motion To Intervene in Clark's disciplinary proceeding.

Following a news release by the Hennepin County attorney's office, numerous media outlets reported the fact two individuals have been charged with beating a homeless man to death with a baseball bat, gaining only five bucks to buy themselves liquor and "have a good time." If any mainstream media outlets have linked to the original criminal complaint documents with all the details, I am unaware of it. Maybe some attentive, detail-oriented reader or a harsh little troll-faced critic can post a link to the criminal complaint.

In the meantime, running an oldie-but-goodie play from the Johnny Northside playbook, this blog will publish the actual criminal complaint word-for-word, dig up information about the address of the suspects and who owns the roof over their miserable heads, publish details on previous criminal records, and toss in whatever other interesting tidbits come my way.

WHAT IS STATE REP "JOE" MULLERY HIDING?

I did some digging and I'm pretty sure his full name is "JOSEPH."

But seriously, folks...

Marcus Harcus was running for State Rep against "Joe" Mullery until Harcus recently dropped out, barely bothering to disseminate word to voters and so Jeff Skrenes of North by Northside blog stepped to the forefront to inform the public, to the extent the public cares.

Reading the statement released by Harcus (as quoted on North by Northside) I was surprised by its tone. It was the kind of apologetic, taking-time-for-family, cryptically worded bunch of bullcrap you'd expect from some serious and promising political candidate who was caught behind the scenes bopping an intern, not a Facebook statement released by a second rate, wannabe candidate who never had a chance against Mullery, who was barely noticed IN the race and won't be missed much OUT of the race.

So what's the POINT of releasing a statement like this rending your political garments and putting ashes on your forehead?

Or is this what Harcus thinks you're SUPPOSED to say when you drop out of a political race? If so, Marcus would do well to use the "not a scandal behind the scenes, just never really had a chance" script instead of the "I hope my opponent keeps his promise not to make this torrid affair public" script.

North by Northside had mostly kind words for Marcus. This blog, however, is more known for frankness than kindness. To Marcus Harcus, who said he "felt like a loser" in this race, Johnny Northside replies...

Julian Anderson, age 15, named by my source as "Funny Mo," the second juvenile accused in the murder of Nizzel George, age 5, reportedly lived at 2609 Colfax Ave. N.

One or both of his parents lives there. His parents are Ihisha Chantella Anderson and Ernest Larnard Frieson. According to my source, the housing is funded through Section 8.

Like many "problem houses" where there is constant low-level drama involving frequent police calls, the house in question has been on the radar of the 4th Precinct Care Task Force, who are the source of a document with recent 911 calls to the address.

To cut right to the chase: Julian Anderson, age 15, of 2609 Colfax Ave. N. is reportedly the second juvenile allegedly involved in the murder of Nizzell George, age 5. This individual has been named by his alias, "Funny Mo," but his real name has not been revealed by the media due to the fact authorities have not released it.

Anderson is the child of somebody named Anderson and somebody named Frierson (spelling unconfirmed) currently living at that address, reportedly receiving Section 8 housing benefits. They are originally from Chicago. All this according to a highly placed and confidential source.

This is not how I like to write articles. I prefer to see information in front of me from official documents, or at least online documents. I prefer more verification. I do not like to just take somebody's word, no matter how important, reliable, and highly-placed that source might be.

I feel like I am stepping out over the water on faith with this information. I myself rate its likely veracity at only 85 percent, but this because I can't confirm to my satisfaction in the usual way. I believe my source believes it and my source is trustworthy, but also human. Take the info for what it is worth.

The motivation of the source makes sense. My source does not care for "the juvenile wall of silence." Juveniles commit terrible crimes, or are ALLEGED to have committed terrible crimes, and they are protected from having their identities revealed. Indeed (this is Johnny talking, here, not my source) it seems like some juveniles are being TAUGHT and TRAINED by their criminal parents in how to take advantage of their juvenile status to be more effective criminals in the making.

I should point out there's no law against the MEDIA publishing juvenile information if the information is true, many media simply refrain...

Media whose reporters don't live in my neighborhood and don't have to endure this kind of bulls*** day after day.

So, well, there is the info I have and I believe it to be true.

Davina Rulford, 22, stands accused of assaulting a 57-year-old man with Parkinson's disease. The man tells one story and the convicted prostitute tells another about what they were doing in an alley. Truth may be somewhere in the middle but the dude has a concussion. He says it's from A BRICK and she says he "tripped over his own cane" while running away. The prosecutor is charging the incident based on his version of events, at least as far as the "brick applied firmly to the head" allegation is concerned.

The incident happened near a nasty little SuperAmerica store on the Lexington Parkway near I-94. I used to live in the area and, unfortunately, I know the gas station well. It's an embarrassment to the SuperAmerica chain, if you ask me. I have called the SuperAmerica chain on at least one occasion and told them so.

After setting off numerous pyrotechnics in a large, open area near a school (which is pretty much tolerated by the police on the Fourth of July, and we're all grateful for the slack) what does a good citizen do? Cleans up his or her mess, right?

What does a bad citizen do? Leaves the mess for somebody else to clean up.

What does a citizen do if they're not really very good, but not all that bad, either?

Stacks the mess up neatly and leaves it by a small tree for somebody else to clean up.

Derrick Deangelo Catchings, age 16, has been certified to stand trial as an adult in the murder of 13-year-old Rayjon Gomez. This blog previously reported on the grand jury indictment, which contained some nuggets of information but not the name of the accused. But with Catchings now certified to stand trial as an adult, his name has been released to media, including Johnny Northside Dot Com. The mainstream media have already barfed up the press release for the consumption of the public. It is up to this blog to dig deeper.

Off With Their Heads

The timing of this announcement by the Hennepin County Prosecutor shows exquisite political instincts. Shock and outrage is at an all-time-high immediately following the murder of Nizzel George, age 5, innocently sleeping on his grandmother's "big green couch."

So certifying 16-year-old Derrick D. Catchings (who was 15 at the time of the Gomez murder) to stand trial in the killing of a 13-year-old wannabe gang member might not have been a popular move prior to June 26. But the death of Nizzel George changes the political climate.

Charge them! the voting demographic cries. Get the gun-toting baby killers off the streets FOREVER, even if they are little more than children themselves. This blog agrees with these sentiments, but it would be more cost-effective to applaud social workers removing children from dysfunctional homes rather than prosecutors cleaning up legal details after children are dead and buried.

Dysfunction Piled On Dysfunction

Nizzel George was probably too young and innocent to be aware of it, but his world was a human Dagwood sandwich of multi-layered dysfunction. His grandmother and father both had run-ins with the law, as documented by mainstream media, click here. Some of his other relatives have criminal records, too, but mainstream media probably won't bother writing about that and I haven't gotten to it quite yet.

And then, on the other side, there is accused shooter Stephon Shannon. Again, there is ugly history and dysfunction. Stephon was part of a group of kids that "hung out" at the home of Jamica Holden, who was a witness in a trial over a notorious murder incident that happened in Robbinsdale. After this blog broke the news of a judicial referee recommending "disability inactive" status for attorney Jill Clark, (correctly speculating it must have been at Clark's request) the MinnLawyer blog wrote an article about Clark's status and provided further info, click here. 

The article mentions how Clark has done some flip-flopping, first saying she's ill and unable to defend herself and then asserting she was "under treatment" and able to assist in her own defense. Clark's actual status this moment is therefore unclear though it's my speculation Clark is simply trying to have it both ways: she wants to put off her many clients and cases (click here for "roll call of the damned") and concentrate completely on defending herself in the disciplinary hearing.

In the meantime, a number of people have received the following email missive from Clark.

I haven't written anything about the tragic Nizzel George murder until now, because there hasn't been an opportunity until now for this blog to fulfill its usual role.

Consider: Usually, after yet another North Minneapolis murder, this blog digs up information about the criminal backgrounds of the victim's family and, in the case of an adult, the victim himself. This happens as quickly as it can reasonably be done, as soon as names are available, to have the maximum impact on public discourse.
