Being the amazing, true-to-life adventures and (very likely) misadventures of a writer who seeks to take his education, activism and seemingly boundless energy to North Minneapolis, (NoMi) to help with a process of turning a rapidly revitalizing neighborhood into something approaching Urban Utopia. New Party Game Invented In NoMi--UTILITY POLE SIGN PINATA!
Pulling up boulevard signs and burning them was fun for a while, but it started to grow old...so me and Jeff Skrenes (the Hawthorne Hawkman) invented a new activity.
Utility pole sign pinata!
In this video, Jeff demonstrates pretty decent pinata marksmanship. Except, like innumerable other online pinata videos...
Jeff keeps WHACKING at the pinata even after the candy has fallen out, and the other kids are scrambling for it.
But that's OK, because I got most of the candy.
What can we do NEXT to illegal boulevard and utility pole signs?
I'm thinking...water boarding.
Knocking them down may be fun but there's a good chance the signs will go up again. Try this instead...... Cut off the phone #'s or email addresses off and leave the rest of the sign up. It may be replaced once or twice, but the message will get out that it's best for the sign poster to find another place to put them up..... like say Edina or Lakeville or Isanti
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought about including a little bit
ReplyDeletemore than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable
and all. Nevertheless imagine if you added some great photos or video clips
to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this blog could undeniably be one of the
best in its field. Very good blog!
