Artistically Painted Utility Boxes? Great Idea!

I spotted this great utility box in downtown Minneapolis and I thought, wow, why can't ALL utility boxes be made into expressive, beautiful works of art?

More to the point, why can't that happen in North Minneapolis (NoMi)?

    Looks Minoan to me. Those folks understood plumbing.

    It CAN happen in NoMi, JNS! And it just might! Another project was just approved by the Mpls Arts Commission for SoMi. If that one works, perhaps someone in NoMi will make a proposal.
