Fallout From The "Chocolate Milk Patrol" Hits 2430 Logan Ave. N. (Summer Visitation, 2010)

Photo and blog post by John Hoff

A short time ago, I wrote about how a minor quest to fetch chocolate milk for my 13-year-old son led to an epic binge of calling 311. Here is some of the recent fallout from "chocolate milk patrol" at 2430 Logan Ave. N....

This property has boards on it, but not boards from the city. Also, there appears to be a squatter living in the basement, gaining access through a broken window. There is a light on in the basement, so electricity is coming from SOMEWHERE, but who knows HOW or who is paying the light bill?

Anyway, shortly after I called 311 the city came out and slapped up some paper, saying the owner of the house needs to do something about the boarded up condition by September 7, 2010.

Good luck finding the owner, though. The house is currently listed in the name of a "Wanda Williams" residing at that same address.

  1. Out of lack of any other good place to put this comment - here is the 4th precinct highlights mention of when the MPD spotted the vehicle of the suspects that (reportedly) fired shots at the home of Anthony "Phat Phat" Titus when mourners were there after his murder:

    Weapons—Carry a Weapon w/out a Permit
    Lowry Ave N & Thomas Ave N Wednesday 7/7/10 1953 hrs 10-200326
Officer conducted a traffic stop after running the plates of a suspicious vehicle that drove by the parked squad. There was an alert on the plates to stop the vehicle & ID the parties inside, per the Homicide Unit. In plain view, a handgun was located under the back side of the driver’s seat. The gun was loaded & other bullets were found in the car. AP1/BM, 18 yrs, & AP2/ American Indian female, 18 yrs, were booked in HCJ for PC Weapons. AP3/BM, 16 yrs, was booked in the Juvenile Unit for the same charge.

  2. Please keep the off topic posts somewhere else. This post is about Chocolate Milk and where to find it in NOMI.

  3. I'm SOOO sick of calling 311 about squatters! I almost want to go in there myself and tell them to get the fuck out!!!

Also Lowry and Thomas was where I grew up. Doesn't seem liked it has changed much in the past 10 years

  4. I don't mind the off topic posts very much, especially for this kind of info.

    Great job, MPD.
