Stock photo, blog post by John HoffA few days ago, I took my latest vehicle to my favorite NoMi neighborhood mechanic for a little work on the transmission. Today, when I asked him how much I owed, first he told me (by text message) "one million dollhairs." Then he told me to forget about it and to consider his work a donation for all the effort I put into blogging for the cause of our rapidly-revitalizing neighborhood.
It's been my policy to try to publicly acknowledge help and donations of this kind. So, therefore:

This this from one of those illegal repair shops run out of private homes in NOMI? I've been calling 311 on any I find.

ReplyDeleteI don't always agree with everything posted here but understand the goal and motivation of you and your collaborators and appreciate the time and effort that you all put in.
ReplyDeleteIn the several years I have lived in Jordan I have seen a dramatic change in the atmosphere and feel that your efforts have made a significant contribution to those changes.
