Blog Post By Jordan North

On November 4, 2013 officers from the Minneapolis Police Department were called to North Memorial Medical Center on a report of a person who had been shot.

The shooting took place on  2000 block of Irving Avenue North. The victim was a passenger in a car was otherwise known as Coach El. The police allegedly felt it was drug related.

The victim, Larry Jermaine Jones, 41 years of age, Coach El, was paralyzed as a result of the shooting and died May 22nd, 2014. This is now a homicide. Another unsolved homicide, with no leads...

Larry Jones Jr, while crying out to all his friends, is being comforted and guided by hundreds of SQUAD members.. Yelling out "DT SQUAD," whatever THAT means... Allegedly, they seem to know how to ''take care of this.''

A bit of advice for little Larry, based solely on the fact that you appear to have more deceased friends than an 80 year old man, don't follow in your Fathers footsteps.

Be sad and then be different.

    What a racist comment.
Clearly JNS has selected guest writers that embody his racist beliefs and will continue his tradition of racism against the people that live in NoMi, that is until he can turn it into his Urban Utopia sans people on welfare (people of color).

  2. The guest author Jordan North has a certain leeway in expressiveness as far as the owner of this blog is concerned. If I would allow VIEWS that are contrary to my own wouldn't I certainly allow the use of phrases that I myself wouldn't use? As for the idea that Jordan North is a racist...

    You are sadly comical.

  3. I have looked into the phrase, its history and usage.

The phrase currently means simply "trouble brewing with a group of people" and that appears to be how it's used here by Jordan North.

I might also say that I didn't know ANYTHING about this incident until Jordan North wrote about it. Jordan North is doing awesome work.

  4. I think she meant the DT SQUAD. Lets get back to who dunnit..or that's not a factor? Can you be racist against gangs? If so then call me one too. This bullshit happened six months ago and by now about fifty people know who did it through the gossip. We have a boat load of unsolved murders in this town. Any one have a number?

  5. We have used that phrase in our family for years, towards our family. In no way did I know that might be offensive to the SQUAD, I was directing it at.

Perhaps we can focus on the fact that a man is dead and no one is talking. I guess that depends on what really matters to some people....

  7. Really, JNT? It was in the Strib.

  8. It all depends on the context in which the phrase is used. In this case it's obvious it refers to the African American population. Referring to them as "natives" is demeaning as it depicts them as savages in Africa.
If you cannot see the racism in that, you are pathetic.

Let's tell the whole truth, and not just the part you want people to see

"According to TVtropes.org this comes from a 1933 film of the H.G. Wells book "The Island of Doctor Moreau." It implies that the indigenous population is about to rise up and attack the people who don't belong there. Harkens back to racism, imperialism and Anglo-Saxons going into the lands of others and trying to exploit/oppress the native people."

Is Jordan North suggesting that the African American population of NoMi is about to attack?
Is she suggesting that she has information to support her assertion that they are "going to take care of this"? Or is she just posting grandeous commentary?

If just one person was offended by that headline you had the opportunity, as the owner of this blog, to apologize and give your explanation.
Instead you supported that headline while defending the author, and insulted those that were offended.
You could use a course in diplomacy. Or do you just like being an asshat?

This expressiveness you refer to comes across as racism, something this blog has been notorious for. Something you appear reluctant to correct.

  9. Here is what the STrib says:

"No suspects have been identified, Elder said."

So what does the STrib have? The bare fact of this man's death? This blog has more, more, a lot more. And if I ask long enough, somebody will anonymously cough up the name of the alleged shooter.

  10. Is that the standard? "If just one person is offended?" If that's the standard and it were applied, nobody would ever be able to write anything.

  11. Mad Dads posted the man died yesterday. Wow, do they have their ear to the ground. A week later.

  12. Is it racist to say the natives are restless if the natives actually are restless?

  13. Let's not circle the wagon's on this issue. If the native's are restless and the war paint is dripping then the only solution is to quit talking shit to each other and admit all of your asses are racist but always try to deny it.(TONGUE IN CHEEK, BITCH) Breaking news...you are all a bunch of fucking thin-skinned moron's and I appreciate Jordan North's contribution to informing us and John's reasonable attitude and openness. I am tired of all of you asshole's trying to apply racism without looking in the mirror. I would like to thank you both for caring and think that you make a pretty good team. Rest in peace, Brother El...
