RNC 2008: Identifying Their Suspects
Here, early in Thursday's anti-war rally and March, bike cops go by a group of protesters seated on the Capitol grounds. In retrospect, they were probably making their suspect identification. The officers went to a grassy area, kept their suspects under surveillance for a while, then moved in with both speed and stealth to snatch their suspects...an action which set off the crowd and produced a prolonged standoff, rather like the situation at Mears Park.
Gee, why can't I get this kind of overwhelming police response to crack dealers openly doing business in North Minneapolis?
