Lavender-colored insect traps have appeared in some trees in North Minneapolis. I spotted one on the Hawthorne Eco Village and another (pictured above) in the Jordan Neighborhood.
Last summer, while making some money truck driving and broken down by the side of the road in Indiana, I had an opportunity to get a good look at some emerald ash borers. The bugs had infested a little tree near the ditch where I was forced to hang out waiting for help.
I must say, for a tree-destroying invasive species, these bugs are actually quite lovely!
