I hope readers who regularly enjoy this blog will consider attending a fun event this Saturday, June 27. It's a fundraiser for the Johnny Northside movie project, being held at 1215 Russell Avenue North.
Here's all the details, as posted on Facebook:

The Adventures of Johnny Northside: a Subprime Mess

Party - House Party
Date:
Saturday, June 27, 2009
Time:
6:30pm - 10:00pm

Join us for a peek at exclusive footage, plus conversation about NoMi, the foreclosure crisis, and how demolition in particular has affected our communities.
Oh, and wine!
And treats!
And Johnny Northside himself!
All this and more, at the much-renowned, much-researched, beautiful, historic, surprising, past-home-tour-star-residence of Mr. Brian Reichow in glorious Willard-Homewood.
All for a suggested $20 donation.
Proceeds to 612 Authentic to further the production of this documentary project.
(Oh, by the way, the photo above shows one of the producers of the movie. It was taken in an attic on 6th St. N.)
(What were we doing in the attic? Well, let's just say the sound quality of the insulated attic was superb, but we also had a really great view of some crack heads)

If I can't make it but still want to donate the money where do I send it?
