Serious Police Action At Pair Of Dice Pizza Thursday Night...

Photo and blog post by John Hoff

On Thursday something was definitely amiss at Pair Of Dice Pizza, one of my favorite North Minneapolis businesses whose product is enjoyed very much by my son, click here.

At about 9:30 PM, at least four squad cars were observed to descend on Pair of Dice Pizza, two of these squads were seen moving especially fast down 26th Avenue N. At Pair of Dice, a handful of police were talking to employees and...

...following this little talk, two of the squads made haste to comb the streets near Pair of Dice with searchlights. It seemed likely Pair of Dice had been robbed, but JNS blog did not seek out further info since--unforunately--these crimes are much too common and just snapping a low quality picture through the windshield seemed plenty for blogging purposes. However, I would suggest Northside residents who support Pair of Dice should go there and give them a little more support this week, to make up for whatever happened.

  2. At least I.I. gets the facts rightNovember 7, 2010 at 6:16 PM

Great reporting. Not important enough to get the facts correct. Robberies are so passe. So just pull a possibility out of your ass and hope it's the correct story.
More tabloid trash Hoff style journalism.

  3. Yawn.

The thing is, I'm the only media around who even CARES if the place was robbed, so I will have to do.

  4. The only media that cares? Now having a superior attitude like that makes me not want to read the blog anymore

  6. Guess you were wrong about them being closed. Next time be patient and get your facts straight.

  7. Actually, it was my blog that set the record straight about Pair of Dice NOT leaving NoMi.

Next time be patient and get your facts right.

  8. How about your comments of 9/14/10 where you stated they were closed because they didn't answer the phone.
Or did you forget about that??

  9. Hey, insane person:

There was no blog post on 9/14/10. And since I was in South Carolina on that day, I doubt very much I was calling Pair of Dice Pizza for any reason or commenting about it on the internet.

Are you writing from some kind of alternative universe? If so, how exciting that you have found some kind of portal of communication between the two worlds! Tell me, how goes the revitalization struggle in Bizzaro NoMi?

  10. BS - you slipped up. You can't resist posting comments on other sites. You blew your cover.
Everyone already knows you were not at National Guard training.
Your bizarro fraud world no longer exists.

  11. Oh, enlighten me. Tell me where I was! If I wasn't where I was, then I have no idea where I have been and I may not even be sure where I am now!

And, please, point me to this website where I supposedly commented on the call I never made.

  12. "Everyone already knows you were not at National Guard training"

Ummmm. WTF. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

It's just really entertaining to see some "people" truly struggle with reality instead of living in their bizzaro universe where they can make up anything they want, say anything they want, make good people be the bad people, make lies into facts and pull conspiracies out of thin air. Including city employeees who owe taxes in other states. WTF? Neighborhood leaders are all like "WTF".

    Shaking my head.

  13. NoMi Passenger, help me!!! I have no idea where I was for 10 weeks, and now I'm beginning to wonder WHO I AM!!!!!

  16. Wow. So it was a ROBBERY!?

    Oh, wait.

Yeah, that's what I figured all along.

Once again, let's kick some extra support to Pair of Dice Pizza to make up for the financial losses associated with that night.

  17. I had tried calling for lunch several times during the week but got no answer. Finally got through on a Friday and was informed that they've had to cut back hours on week days. Try chicken, bacon and jalapenos .... tres delish!
