Thats all??? I understand the defendants were asking for over $200K in attorney's fees. I'm glad that at least 15K was ordered, but that amount does not even scratch the surface for the cost of this frivoulous litigation
ReplyDeleteAnon @1:10pm, the 15k is court costs. Motion filing fees, depositions, etc. The atty fees are yet to be decided on...I think we can guess as to the route Hon. Judge Porter will go with that...

ReplyDeleteBut, from what I hear, this $15K is not the order for attorney's fees. Someone else might be able to explain what "taxable costs and disbursements" means.
I hear the defendants' attorney is waiting to see if more comes out of the Judge Porter office, if not soon, then he will contact Porter's clerk to find out if more is expected.
Does anyone have copies of the prior orders referenced in pp 3 of Judge Porter's order. This is quite discouraging because it does nothing to discourage future frivolous lawsuits by people like this.
