Will "Imposter Foster" Jerome Kingrussell Show Up For Tomorrow's Probation Violation Hearing? Magic Eightball Says, "I Doubt It."

Creative stock photo (a truck stop in Iowa along I-35) and blog post by John Hoff

According to MNCIS data, Jerome Kingrussell--the infamous "imposter foster" involved in the high profile mortgage fraud at 1564 Hillside Ave. N.--has a parole violation hearing tomorrow in Hennepin County District Court. The hearing is at 1:30 before the Honorable Judge Gary R. Larson.

Kingrussell, born 6/3/71, was last known to be in Iowa...

...Sitting in prison.

However--and this depends a lot upon whether bureaucratic Iowa prison information plugged into little slots upon an online form is being interpreted correctly--it APPEARS like Kingrussell went on parole as of May 16 of this year. His date to be discharged from supervision is December 20, 2013. His parole is out of Tama County, Iowa.

So if Kingrussell is actually running around loose, why would he go to a probation violation hearing where he has a massive sentence hanging over his head for involvement in a high profile mortgage fraud?

I'm confident the hearing will take place. Not so confident Kingrussell will be there.

Also, working under an assumption Kingrussell might be under control of Iowa's DOC, if he's been reporting to his probation officer and such, I checked the Hennepin County Jail Roster. Sometimes parole violators are incarcerated in the jail by other jurisdictions prior to hearings they must attend in Hennepin County, and they show up on the jail roster that way.

But Kingrussell is not in the Hennepin County jail as of this moment.

If Kingrussell proceeds from Iowa to Minneapolis to attend the hearing like he is supposed to, he will pass very near the Boondocks truck stop on I-35, pictured above. But a little voice is telling me I should have gone with a stock photo of a casino in New Orleans or a beach on the Gulf of Mexico, instead.

  1. I have checked a couple other counties in Minnesota known to have conveniently accessible jail rosters, to see if Kingrussell might turn up there.

    No sign of him.

  3. This represents a hold on the original charge which, keep in mind, was investigated by Bloomington PD. It does not appear to be a new charge. They're holding him for the hearing tomorrow, it appears.

  4. Turns out Kingrussell was missed in my original jail roster search because I was looking for somebody who had recently arrived for the hearing, narrowing my search parameters to the last few days on the roster.

But Kingrussell had been in the jail since 5/16, and had been sent there from confinement in Iowa. Kingrussell himself testified he hadn't been outdoors since August of 2010.
