Blame one of my anonymous commenters for the creative sobriquet given to the group of seven youth who broke into a home on Hillside Ave. N. on Thanksgiving Day and took a defiant, deliberately messy crap in the toilet.
Reportedly, the same group made failed, half-assed attempts to get into two other houses including the mansion eyed by Nicole Curtiss, television's Rehab Addict and a house on 22nd Ave. N. which had (OMG!) A SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEM.
Could this group of sad little clowns have any worse luck than they've already had? Well, I guess they could. Somebody could...
...feed this blog their names, the names of their parents, and their addresses.
Johnny is hungry.
Feed Johnny Thanksgiving leftovers. (Puppy dog face)
Very early in the story this blogger heard video footage existed of the break-in attempt on 22nd Ave. N. but, for tactical reasons, I didn't say anything about it. Let the little miscreants make all their heated on-the-record denials before that news leaked out, I figured. Besides, for a news item as important as "damning video exists" I prefer to have a higher level of confirmation.
But word first leaked out in a comment posted on this blog and I have also received a message via Facebook confirming existence of the video. Reportedly it's great video. The house in question was being watched by a concerned neighbor who called the owner in Illinois. The owners of the home were able to watch the video over the internet.
(By the way, my security cameras can also do that)
Along with news of the video I was also told, pointedly, there are many great kids in the neighborhood and it's best not to lose track of that. I was told of one young man in particular who is headed to Ethiopia in March to do missionary work.
To this I say the young people involved in the burglary are still young enough and malleable enough to turn their lives around. But first they need to feel a sense of shame over what they did, ALLEGEDLY.
(Eye roll. It's so "allegedly" we have photos moments after they ran from the house and were chased down by police)
Somebody on Facebook told me youth like this don't even understand shame, to which I responded:
I will teach them the meaning of shame.
Heh heh.
TURD BURGLARS!
