Late last night, as news hit of a murder at 2311 Queen Ave. N., I was publicly griping about how there weren't enough facts to get much of a handle on the story. Well, now there are facts I can unearth, but the problem is connecting those facts to murder victim Lolitta Marie Malone.
So I will present the facts I have.
Malone was involved in an eviction action in Hennepin County Court quite recently along with somebody named Henry Love. Since Malone and Love are both listed together as defendants against landlord James Swartwood, it would appear...
The two lived together.
The case was 27-CV-HC-12-5890, James Swartwood v. Lolitta Malone, Henry Love. The eviction action was filed in September of this year. It is now closed and Malone was still living at 2311 Queen Ave. N., a property owned by Swartwood, so presumably something was worked out. I assume the eviction involved the same address but that is an ASSUMPTION, so I'm highlighting that as such; albeit probably a reasonable assumption.
The name "Henry Love" turns up an interesting federal case which happened here in the Twin Cities area.

There was a kilo of cocaine involved and defendants named Henry Love, Willie Love, and Wayne Morris Huff. A guy named Demon Echols was working as a police informer. In the court opinion, Willie Love is described as the "uncle" of Wayne Huff. Henry Love is described as Willie Love's brother.
Henry Love's apartment was raided and police found $4,000 cash hidden in a wall, a loaded shotgun, a police scanner and six pages of police frequencies. The defendants appealed in protest of the "reverse sting" drug buy tactics used by police. They argued "selective prosecution on the basis of their race."They argued a lot of stuff, but none of it really flew and the conviction was affirmed.
Again, and to emphasize, it is UNKNOWN if the "Henry Love" in this case is the same Henry Love who lived with murder victim Lolitta Marie Malone.
Here are three other civil cases in which Lolitta Malone was named:

ReplyDeleteHmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteSo Henry Love was the one who found her body and they had been in a ten-year relationship? Interesting.
Well, I guess we'll see how this plays out.
Supposedly they have a suspect in mind, he was taken into custody, and is being held on a parole violation. A young man, I haven't gotten his name yet but, I will. He was the last person in the house besides Lolitta and Henry.
ReplyDeleteHigh rollin' Hank and the luckless Lolita sounds like a love story for the ages. Although Lolita has officially stopped aging, Hammerin' Hank does it again! Go Henri! Go!
ReplyDeleteIt should be noted that somebody was arrested for this murder and it was NOT Henry Love. No matter what his rough past (if it's the same guy who has quite a rogh past, that's still not proven) this had to be horrible and traumatic to discover his former lover dead.
ReplyDeleteThough dedicated to unearthing relevant facts and letting the chips fall where they may, JNS blog extends its condolences to Henry Love.
Whem they say ( CRACK ) kills , it really does!!!
