The history of 3016 6th St. N. is intimately entangled with the history of this blogger. In short, after I purchased beat up little house on that property I found out I was standing right in the path of a visionary neighborhood development project. So I sold the house at 3016 6th St. N. and I bought another house, click here.
The house at 3016 6th St. N. was demolished and a vacant lot was there for a long time. But now, finally, a house is going up at that spot...
This photo and the one below were taken about a month ago. Now there's the actual shell of a house at that spot, but every time I drive by it's too dark to get a good photo.
I'm told some architectural fancy footwork took place to fit a perfect little house into that small lot. Eventually I'll follow up with more details, but for now I wanted to publish these photos (snow day blog-a-thon, wooooooooooooo!) and celebrate neighborhood revitalization progress on my old block.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteWe are seeking a vacant North Minneapolis home to reclaim and occupy. We had a home at 3915 Portland but it turns out it was not vacant at all. The homeowner was in foreclosure and moved out but the bank did not own the home yet. We need another home to occupy and move persons needing shelter in. Do you know of any North Minneapolis homes that would make a good home for reclamation? You can reach us at our Occupy Homes Facebook
