Domestic Violence Victim Wasn't Even Sure How Many Times She Was Hit In The Face By Pierre Gardner, And Dragged Up The Stairs, Allegedly...

New Year's Day, one hour and 41 minutes after midnight, Brooklyn Center police were dispatched to an "open" 911 call. That's when somebody calls 911, but the dispatcher can't get any information. The line is open but nobody is speaking.

This type of call carries great uncertainty for police. There could be a victim bleeding to death, unable to speak, wounded by an armed gunman who is still in the house. Or it's a child who thinks calling 911 is exciting. Or something in between.

At the residence where the call originated, police were met by a female running down the driveway bleeding profusely from the face...

The suspect who did this to her, she said, was "running through back yards." According to the criminal complaint in this case (click here) police apprehended Pierre Diante Gardner, DOB 1/25/85. He already has four domestic violence convictions, so now he's looking at a felony.

The victim wasn't even sure how many times she had been punched. She did remember being dragged up a stairs inside the residence. There was a "substantial laceration" above her left eye.

Gardner's address is reportedly 3315 Thomas Ave. N. This house, which is not a rental, is owned by Rb Remodelers, Inc.

Under "Owner," the city website lists Rb Remodelers in Blaine.

Under "Taxpayer," the city website lists Rb Remodelers at 15900 Eagle Street NW, in Andover.

Is it just me, or is the city's already-abysmal property website even WORSE lately?

Back in 2007, the city of Minneapolis was actually contemplating the demolition of this building. Instead, it appears to have ended up in the hands of an investor.

Rb Remodelers is no longer an active corporation. It hasn't been since 2009, according to the website of the Minnesota Secretary of State. And yet this entity is still listed as the owner of this house. The chief executive officer of Rb Remodelers is (or was) Randy Babcock of 11591 Yancy Street. Or maybe that's Yancy Court, since the Secretary of State's website has it both ways, "St" as well as "Ct."

Well, You can only knock down so many buildings to compensate for a failed licensing and inspections process.
