Pictured above, a venomous snake with its head chopped off. I personally ate this snake with a delicious garlic flavored batter and then tanned his gnarly hide to make a wallet or hatband or something.

OR DOES IT?
In the course of trying to determine the address of a house fire described in a mainstream media story, I searched the 2000 block of 21st Ave. N. by driving around in the frigging dark and then I did an online search of Minneapolis property records for any clues to the precise address.
I didn't manage to turn up the address.
Allow me to point out it's very annoying when the mainstream media reports on tragic house fires but then describes the address as "the blah blah hundred block of whatever avenue north."
Like, WHAT?! Is the information...
....classified in the interest of national security? Does a Level Three Sex Offender live there and we have to protect his pervert privacy? What is this, FREAKING NORTH KOREA? Why is the media involved in actively censoring stories and failing to provide useful information?
Anyway, I didn't turn up the address of the house fire, but in the course of my search I did discover something interesting about 2008 21st Ave. N., which is one of a number of properties owned by infamous Northside slumlord Mahmood Khan.
Cited. For lack of maintenance. April 15 of this year.
And so the Khan empire crumbles, bit by bit and day by day.

So it looks like it is boarded as of 4-26-2013.
ReplyDeleteLink clicky say City ordinance allows any building to be boarded for 60 days without penalty. After 60 days, if the owner has not removed the boards or a building permit been issued to rehab the building, the building may be placed on the Vacant Building Registration list.
Time for ol Mahmood to step up his NoMI Monoploy game!
Boarded April 26?
ReplyDeleteWell, the house fire I was looking into happened on April 25th.
INTERESTING....
Check out this story about a house fire at a Mahmood Kkan property back in March that displaced a lot of people.

I've got an inquiry out...trying to find out the specific address of the property on the 2000 block of 21st Ave. N. which had the house fire and whether it is ANOTHER Khan property...
Or not.

Posted Afternoon of April 24, 2013:
" Minneapolis House Fire - 2008 21st Ave N."
"Reported House Fire, black smoke from side of home per neighbor."
" L-4 reports mattress fire, being put out with a pump can."
I went to the site to confirm the info. Yes, the fire was at 2008 21st Ave. N., a Mahmood Khan rental.
ReplyDeleteSomebody needs to shut down this idiot's rental property empire before entire families die.
