The unsolved shooting of three people on the Northside (notice I didn't use the word "shocking") has garnered an enormous amount of media coverage, click here for example, but citizens who actually live on the Northside instead of just watching Northside tragedies on television would like to know something more than the intersection.
Word from a reliable Northsider (who used media coverage and Google maps to determine the address of the incident) is the shooting took place in front or in obvious proximity to 2925 Lyndale Ave. N., a rental property owned by Epstein Enterprises LLC, 33 George St E #1 St Paul MN 55107.
The entity is apparently owned by one David Epstein, click here for his Linked In profile, where he calls himself "the Realtor who is bringing you the best at Total Freedom Realty." He is a "certified distressed property expert." In other words, part of the slumlording class that is sucking blood from the Northside, converting it to lucre, and lining their bank accounts with the aforementioned filthy, blood stained lucre.
The crime remains unsolved. If anybody wants to talk smack about who did it and why, JNS blog continues to make clear I have no way to trace the IP address of commenters, and that's the damn truth from a blogger notorious for truthfulness.

same old stuff...
ReplyDeleteblacks shooting-killing each other in the streets and V.J. Smith with his old tired bullshit while they keep making the area more miserable. stop with your fake ass shit, Smith, it ain't workin'!!! you ain't even foolin' whitey anymore
You are a slumlord too. SOONER or later you should admit it, OK? Are the Sooners and Seminoles ranked in the top 10 this year?
ReplyDeleteI don't follow sports at all, so I'm not even sure which sport you're talking about.
ReplyDeleteWait, so let me get this straight. A shooting takes place "in front or in obvious proximity to 2925 Lyndale Ave. N., a rental property" and you, without any evidence or verification, decide that this address was directly related to the shooting. And you start to harass the landlord - again, without any proof. You publish his name, and address for some diabolical purpose and to tarnish his reputation. This shooting also took place near the Tawfiq Islamic Center. Perhaps you'd like to look them up and trash the Muslims. Or are your attacks limited to blacks and Jews?
ReplyDeleteI blogged about his sign spam proclivities. I thought FOR SURE I had blogged about that triplex before, because it's been a problem for YEARS. I've called Epstein on it in my previous employ, and made various complaints to the MPD. Most recently, they had spray-painted GDN on their own back steps.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, my very words when I first heard about what block this shooting was on were, "I bet it was at that bleeping triplex."
Thank you for helping me round out this story with that information.
ReplyDeleteOf course, you're such a geek that when you heard about the shooting you actually DID use the word "bleeping" instead of doing the right thing and cussing like a sailor.

You have a picture of this GDN?
ReplyDeleteI have a picture, yes. I have to find it and then confirm with 100% accuracy that it is the house in question. Then I'll publish the pic or send it our way.
ReplyDelete(And I guess the technically correct way to phrase my previous comment would have been to write "that [bleeping] triplex."
aug.21 12:09 is making some kind of reference to the Oklahoma Sooners hence the capitalization of SOONER and OK.
ReplyDeleteWhy the reference to the Florida State Seminoles is part of the(I presume)coded semi-riddle ya got me....
I will deduce that 12:09 is saying that you own property in Oklahoma and Florida and you are a slum lord in your other life.
You are leading a dual life and sneak away to those areas and morph into Slummy Slum the king of all and in the "top ten" nationwide. It's all figured out now! I think it's called damn good drugs.
Hey, Jeff, SEND ME THE PIC!!!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting angle by this mainstream media organization. This is normally the kind of territory handled by THIS BLOG.

Many landlords rent to people who then allow different people to move in so that people actually living there are intentionally hidden from the landlord and harder for law enforcement to find. This happens frequently. There are many judges that make it nearly impossible to evict nuisance tenants in subsidized houses, particularly in Minneapolis. Just because some property is a problem does not mean the land lord can do much about it because IT IS UP TO THE PEOPLE LIVING IN THE RENTAL to decide whom has access to the property. The blog writer should really be attacking the tenants, not the landlords. The people that actually commit the crimes should be the ones being held accountable.
ReplyDeleteThe poor little guy is wondering if he is next and why the big kids have to shoot and kill the little ones. He probably goes to bed crying about how the big kids might kill him too. 21st century bogeyman, now I'm crying.
