Photo contributed by Hawthorne Hawkman, blog post by John Hoff
As "Hawthorne Hawkman" Jeff Skrenes revealed in comments on JNS blog a couple days ago, when the triple shooting happened at 2925 Lyndale Ave. N. his first thought was, "I bet it's that (expletive) triplex."
And it was, of course,
Hawkman had to hunt around in his large stockpile of photos but, in response to my repeated requests, about an hour ago he sent me a photo showing the back porch of 2925 Lyndale Ave. N. and the letters "GDN."
This apparently references...
...the Gangster Disciples Nation. Click on the YouTube embed below to hear their "national anthem."
At least one person quoted in a news report said he thought the 17-year-old male who was hit by gunfire was a good kid and not involved in gangs. Of course, I note the only photo the family could seem to cough up for KSTP shows him flashing a hand sign.
Look at this article and judge for yourself, click here, whether his blurry hands are flashing a hand sign.
Use the "Zoom In" function on your computer, if you must.
The Gangster Disciples are known to be quite active, lately, in Minneapolis. Since the 1960s, they have been enemies and rivals of the Almighty Black P-Stones, who are known as the "Moes" and have left a trail of death and destruction in North Minneapolis.
The suspect in the shootings has not yet been apprehended.

It will continue to get worse no doubt due to this city and state's inability to do anything that goes against the will of bottom feeders and general apathy for North Minneapolis and its normal hard working residents. It's funny how the takers seem to have a bigger voice than the givers here in North.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how well the Hostas are doing on the north side of the house.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they take time out of their busy day to water them.
Come back when you can define gang. Is that another word for nigger children?
ReplyDeleteI do not normally approve comments which use "the n word."
ReplyDeleteHowever, after viewing the profile of the commenter I have decided the use of the word, in context, was not intended as a racial slur by the user but was used to underscore her point. Her point (which, by the way, I don't agree with) is that myself and/or people with my point of view see young black people as synonymous with gang members.
