MN DOC Mug Shot, therefore public domain
The Minnesota DOC hasn't updated its website as of this moment to reflect the fact Octavius Riddley is no longer a wanted fugitive, but was taken into custody on August 17. Riddley has been convicted of selling cocaine. Presumably he became a fugitive by failing to abide by the conditions of his release.
On the jail roster, Riddley's address is listed as 1911 Thomas Ave. N., a homestead owned by somebody with the same surname.
It is Riddley's bad luck to be featured here in a blog post because...
...when I look through the jail roster, I often come upon individuals who have North Minneapolis addresses but are listed as a "MN DOC HOLD," meaning they are wanted by the prison system and are probably returning there. In those instances, their mug shots are easy to find.
So, well, heck...
It occurs to me that I can get an address, a mug shot, and a conviction associated with that person all in one fell swoop. That's the kind of information needed by the neighborhood revitalization movement. We need to know who the felons are, what they look like, and where exactly they claim to be living.
So welcome, Octavius Riddley.

From the Albert Lea Tribune.
ReplyDeleteLena Luvean Riddley (D.O.B. June 19, 1959). 1911 Thomas Ave. N., Minneapolis. Counts 1 and 2: DWI (count 1 dismissed). Sentenced 180 days jail stayed 150 days for four years and four years supervised probation. Fined $605. Count 3: Open bottle law (dismissed).
A lot of people think the crime problem would go away if all drugs were legalized. Maybe there's some truth that a lot of the incentive for criminality would fall away, but as the recent posts here show, people will threaten violence and risk their freedom over cell phones and gaming systems. A lot of these morons seem like they just want to be locked up, and committing crimes is just a means to that end.
ReplyDeletepeople tell you this stuff time and again and you let time pass and claim that you "discovered" how to access it with your diligence.
ReplyDeleteGo to Minnesota Criminal History with any one's birthday and full name and you can get what you want without paying. Your game is as old as the hills, Mr. Swami, quit with the "ain't I smart?, shit"
The trick is to pull it out of the un-searched and un-Google-able part of the internet and make it available to the search engines. To do all the work so anybody looking for the info can find it quite easily.
ReplyDeleteI've never claimed there is any "trick" to it.
Only work.
Johnny gives us context on the various thugs who appear on this blog. That's more than can be gotten from the mainstream media.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, Mr. "Northside" , have you ever featured any White thugs, criminals, slum lords, or crooked cops? You're "blog" seems a little one sided. We all know that the North side is comprised of MANY races and cultures. Let's be fair.....
ReplyDeleteHere. An example from, like, day before yesterday. He is white as white can be. I make no distinction. I simply write about who is committing the crime. I don't care if they're purple or green. I simply write about who is committing the crime.

Now go away. You bore me.
