Word reaches me from an anonymous commenter of a decision today in the Minnesota Court of Appeals, click here for the decision, regarding the Holler family and their controversial property in the path of a planned library expansion.
Currently, eminent domain proceedings are moving forward but almost forgotten in the course of this ugly dispute was a lawsuit filed by the Hollers alleging they were defamed (good heavens!) by Hennepin County...
The dubious lawsuit was dismissed at the lower court level because the District Court judge found it wasn't specific enough in identifying any "particularized false and reputation-damaging statements of fact." The Appeals court found, however, the lawsuit did meet the minimum threshold to survive in court long enough to be tried and has remanded back to the lower court for further proceedings.
So it is the Holler family continues to cost Hennepin County money (our tax dollars, burned up in attorney fees!) and continues to make our community pay through its bleeding nose for daring to have the dream of a library expansion instead of being good citizens who are asked to shoulder a NOT unreasonable level of sacrifice for the common good.
Find a "particularized statement of fact" in THAT, Kevin and Valerie Holler, you opportunistic money-grubbing maggots on the flesh of the general welfare.

Hopefully they'll add you to the suit. We'd love to see you finally go down in flames.
ReplyDeleteYawn. You bore me, troll.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, John, instead of having something insightful to say, you resort to name calling.
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, you complain about the alleged waste of taxpayer money, when was the last time you paid any county taxes?
ReplyDeleteComment rejected. My blog and I can do that for any reason or no reason at all. BEST OF LUCK ON ALL YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVORS including, for example, losing a hopeless defamation lawsuit in Hennepin County Court.
