Some handyman came along and installed a cool feature on 416 30th Avenue North, the "problem child of the block." I've seen a lot of boarded doors, but I've never seen this particular innovation before.
Look closely! In the board over the missing front door--the one the firemen nailed up after I procured it for them, helpful like a Boy Scout--the handyman has cut a little "door within the door," attached it to hinges, and secured it with a hasp and round combination lock.
Nice work, handyman! Now the real estate agent won't have to say "bring a screw driver."
This is a much cooler innovation/evolution/adaption than "let's make the auction signs LOTS BIGGER. Let's make them GI-NOR-MOUS!!!!"

Doesn't this make it easier to kick in the door? Or is it still secure?
I think it probably is easier to break in, now. Just unscrew the hinges. However, when it comes to this particular property, the frequent trespasser just climbs on top of a garbage can and goes in the second story window.
