Prostitution Guilty Plea For Christina Maria Elias, Whose Home Address Is VERY Interesting...

Stock photo of suspected Penn Ave. prostitution and blog post by John Hoff

A couple weeks ago, I was in Bishkek-Manas, Kyrgyzstan, on the way back from Afghanistan, reveling in easy, plentiful internet access. I pored over the Hennepin County Jail Roster like it was the most entertaining site on the internet, clicking on the names of North Minneapolis residents to learn about their criminal charges.

That was when I learned about Christina Maria Elias, age 21, who was charged with prostitution and listed a Penn Ave. N. home address.

Today I learned Elias pleaded guilty on April 3 to two separate counts of engaging in prostitution with a person over 18 in a public place. For this, Elias was sentenced to 2 years probation.

On the jailhouse roster, Elias reported her address as 3230 Penn Ave. N.

And that's when things got interesting...

The owner of that property is listed as "TLC Hardon LLC" on the city's property website.

That's right. TLC Hardon.

"TLC" is a common abbreviation for "Tender Loving Care." And a "hardon" is, well, it's a hardon. An erect penis. Duh.

So here we have a prostitute (now convicted, and I was watching for that) whose home address is owned by "TLC Hardon, LLC."

Very interesting.

I went to the website of the Minnesota Secretary of State to see what I might discover about this LLC. Turns out there is a "Hard On Tackle LLC," and there are a number of businesses with "TLC" in the title.

There is, however, no "TLC Hardon, LLC." (CORRECTION, APRIL 7. Unknown why the name did not come up when I searched the website, and therefore the following statement is based on a false assumption)

Which means it's either an out-of-state LLC or the city's property information website contains spurious information. I'd bet on the second one.

  1. TLC Hardon LLC is in fact a registered Minnesota LLC.

Found by searching by name, the associated file # is 1030459-2

A quick review at the Secretary of State website explains the name.

  3. TLC Hardon (I feel kind of dirty just typing that name) also owns 3441 Oliver Ave N, and 11220 131st Ave N in Dayton MN.

  4. My comment must be stuck again.

    Sent this last night.

Click on the details and the reason for the titillating name is obvious. The LLC might have been late renewing when you searched (see the renewal history) it, did you check for an inactive filing at the time of your search?

  5. No, I didn't realize there was a way to check inactive listings and yes your comment got hung up...that is to say, I was sleeping last night and not approving comments in the middle of the night.

Well, I guess I better go to that website and see why the reason for the titillating name is obvious...

To Hawthorne Hawkman: Don't feel dirty because you're typing "hardon," feel dirty because you voted for Raymond Dehn in the DFL primary.

  6. So it's called that because the manager's last name is "Hardon," apparently. Disappointing.

  8. I heard Ray Dehn said in one of his candidate speeches that he declares a war on the war on drugs.

    Can anybody confirm or elaborate?

  9. John, the DFL primary has not yet happened. What was held last weekend was the DFL senate district convention. And no, I won't feel dirty for voting for Dehn. He did something illegal in the past, paid his debt to society, reformed, and is serving his (and our) community well. That's really all I need to know about that issue because people do deserve second chances. Dehn has more than earned his.

NoMi Passenger, yes he did say it was time for "a war on the war on drugs." The context of that statement was that he believes the war on drugs has not effectively curbed drug use and has had a disproportionately negative effect on low-income and minority communities. It's one of the few statements he made that I didn't particularly agree with. Each candidate had some of those, and as an undecided person, I weigh them against each other.

  10. "A war on the war on drugs" sounds like everybody should defiantly use drugs, sell drugs, promote drugs, defend drugs. Take back the "ground offensive" from those who want to make drugs illegal and live in the freedom to use drugs. An INSURGENCY against a standing army of authorities determined to wage war on drug using freedom.

So all those guys who are smuggling dope into our country, they are brave foot soldiers in the war on the war on drugs?

To me it's not a question of whether Dehn has reformed himself. He probably has, though his statements would lead me to believe he is probably a casual drug user. No, the problem I have is he's not merely somebody who made a mistake in the past and got past it. He's a THUG HUGGER. He is one who defends outrageous criminal behavior and pleads for laxity.

I stand corrected on what kind of DFL event it was.

  11. To me, that one statement weighs A LOT.

But I respect your right to give it the weight you judge it to weight.

  14. Maybe the rationale is that if you're a woman being trafficked for forced prostitution purposes, you're not really a victim, since they probably 'asked for it' or deserved it anyway. Isn't that how you dismiss a moral dilemma without guilt or thought?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Huh....

Are you making a point about prostitution or some OTHER moral dilemma?

    ReplyDelete
  16. These people don’t mess around. They are not your two-bit dope dealers on the corner. While many worry about nuisance prostitutes or small-time drug dealers and thieves, the wake -up call for the city is likely to come at their hands. The violence is growing slowly and will erupt causing residents to witness horrific acts never before seen here.

  17. WHO are you talking about? I'm not clear who you're talking about. You're being cryptic and unclear.

  18. We will continue to recruit these scurvy, bodacious individuals and maintain plucking them from the bowels of Chicago,Detroit, Gary, and Rockford. Along with them they bring their heathonous and barbaric mentalities and the yearning for the inevitable cash handout that Moneyapolis is famous for. You reap what you sow, and how. Til' the cows come home, bitches! See ya!
