Comment and Criticism, bite me.
A commenter on a previous story about Malik El-Amin, charged with a boatload of serious criminal activity, asked whether young Malik was related to the folks who run the famous El-Amin fish house in North Minneapolis.
After a little bit of digging, I think it is safe to say...
Yes.
ASSUMING Malik is listed at the address where he REALLY lives and he didn't falsely put forth the address of some well-known people named El-Amin, then I can say with certainty Malik El-Amin is related to the folks who run El-Amin fish house.
Here are the facts I unearthed with not very much effort:
The name of the guy who owns the house where young Malik claims to live is "Makram El-Amin." That is the same name as...
...a well-known North Minneapolis muslim imam. Click here for a story in the Star Tribune.
The Strib story is notable for how Makram El-Amin talks about being a "life coach" for young men. Yeah, I can think of a young guy who needs a WHOLE LOT of life coaching. (Eye roll)
The facebook page of the El-Amin fish house has a photo of Makram El-Amin, who sure looks like the very same imam Makram El-Amin in the photo from the Star Tribune story. The facebook photo (see same picture, above) is of "Makram and Sharon," which is the same name as the couple who own the house where young Malik claims to reside.
It is, of course, possible Malik is not their son but a more distant relative with the same surname residing at their house. My intuition tells me, however, this is the spoiled brat son of the El-Amin fish empire.
I must say I was WONDERING how that little devil made bail after being charged with two armed robberies and a high speed chase. I don't actually know WHO paid the bail but let's just say the police probably found most of Malik's money in the car he crashed into the light pole, so I kind of doubt it was Malik who paid it.

There was also a successful North High basketball player named Malik El-Amin, who was the nephew of Khalid El-Amin, who was ANOTHER successful North High basketball player.
ReplyDeleteName is the same but relationship unconfirmed.
http://www.startribune.com/sports/116193729.html
Khalid must have stopped sending money from his lucrative contracts playing basketball overseas since he couldn't cut it in the N.B.A. He financed the fish house and got tired of his relatives mooching off of his notoriety so they continued doing what they did best before he was their favorite adhesive.
ReplyDeleteI'd still like to know who the judge was back in March, how much the bail was and whether the bail was inordinately low because - maybe -they got a call from a US Congressman's office asking that they go easy on the congressman's imam's kid.
ReplyDeleteThis site http://pa.courts.state.mn.us/ shows three speeding charges in Anoka, Benton & Carlton counties.
ReplyDeletelol typo
ReplyDelete"life couch"
The Strib story is notable for how Makram El-Amin talks about being a "life couch" for young men.
From Case No. 09-VB-12-198 , it looks like his full name might be (due to the DOB matching along with other details)
ReplyDeleteDefendant El-Amin, Malik Rashad Male
DOB: 04/27/1993
MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55411
No, that was my typo, not the Strib's. I am correcting it now. Thanks for pointing it out.
ReplyDeleteMohammed will save him from you infidels and blaze the way on his white horse with Gabriel side saddling in a gallop-by.
ReplyDeleteCan i just say if you dont know any thing please dont jump to conclusions. It dosen't do well on anyone's part. I have know the El-Amins for a while, we actully grew up together. Dont blame the stupidness of one child one their entire family. Just because malik is bad doesn't mean he's spoiled, im pretty sure thats why he was kicked out for not doing good things with his life.Children now-a-days get involved in the stupidest shit so should we blame their parents or should we blame media and society with Cheif keef(17yo "rapper") telling our kids "bang bang bitch" and rappers putting Mollys in womens drinks?. Take a sec think about it then look at your children. What do they do when youre not around? Do you even know?
ReplyDeleteMalik is a piece of shit and should have never been let out on bail!! Nice job Hennepin county!! Now it's two armed robberies and a shooting! What else are you going to let him get away with!! It shouldn't matter who his family is!!
ReplyDeleteJohnny Northside... Just curious as to Malik's sentancing... Any idea of what he ended up with after 2 counts of armed robbery and a shooting?!!
ReplyDeleteHere's his sentence. It really deserves its own blog posting, but here's the info of MNCIS.

Just a lousy 36 months!! I'm wondering if Hennepin County is waiting for him to kill somebody before they give him the time he deserves!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, please note that was a guilty plea. So he got a good deal and the State didn't have to go to the trouble of putting on a trial.
ReplyDeleteTrouble?
ReplyDeletePutting away this fake, hiding behind Islam and getting a congressman to speak on your behalf because you are a fake....fake, felonious and potentially murderous fuck will show you down the road that you all are wimp, liberal falling for the shit fools.
White people are the biggest suckers on earth when they fall for the poor black soul story when their are plenty of blacks who are tired of these thugs making them look bad when they are good people.
Did he ever get sentanced for his shooting at pizza luce
