Campaign Finance Filing Requirements Ignored By Brett Buckner, Kale Severson In Fifth Ward City Council Race...

A piece of information from the city council campaign in Ward Five caught my eye and, I think, deserves to be highlighted on this blog.

Brett Buckner, one of the candidates in the race, has not filed either of his campaign finance reports.

One report was due September 3, the other October 29.  Brett Buckner doesn't seem to think the rules apply to him...

Kale Severson didn't file his report, either, but his campaign is too small for anybody to care. Like the vegetable which bears his name, he is green and something of a garnish.

Here is the breakdown of who spent what and when:

The next filing is due in January of 2014. Let's see if Buckner has his act together by then. The real race in Ward Five is between Ian Alexander and Blong Yang.

  1. Your statement of

    didn't file his reports

    ends with the plural s. This does not mesh with your tables that have one of the two days filled in for each character.

  2. You are correct. That is a typo. He is missing ONE report, (no plural s) not more than one report (plural s).

    Thank you for bringing that to my attention and I have corrected it. JNS blog strives for truthful and accurate information. When it is brought to my attention that information is inaccurate, I leap to make correction.

  3. An English major and an anon talking insider(correcto mundo type) trade to the masses;
    I throw up my hands and yell "Mercy, Mercy Me"... and I will be hitting you with soundtracks and titles of songs from now on.. I repeat that I will be back in a different format since my daughters have laid down the rules and I am okay with the music thing as far as the parallels.
    It's "The Big Bang Theory" and everyone needs to chill out. OH..and all of you fakes can go to the "Dukey Stick". George Duke... R.I.P.
