Election Day! Election Day! All Out, All Out, ALL OUT TO VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATES OF YOUR CHOICE!

Stock photo, blog post by John Hoff

Pictured above, a work in progress. A soldier at Forward Operating Base Gardez, Paktya Province, Afghanistan, works on his crudely constructed barracks with a big drill. Near him some red, white and blue painting is appearing, but the stars aren't finished, not yet.

This soldier, pictured above, fought for America in a distant and dangerous foreign land. In light of his sacrifice, getting to the polls somehow, being registered to vote, somehow, and casting a ballot, somehow, doesn't seem so tough.

Our neighborhood has ISSUES. We need good people to FIX those issues. We don't agree who should be in charge so we vote. If you don't vote, your opinion about the issues and who should be in charge isn't worth as much.

If you think the whole system is a sham, then by God get to the polls and write in your own name or a cartoon character, over and over, BUT GET TO THE POLLS AND CAST YOUR ALIENATED AND UPSET BALLOT SO THE POLITICIANS KNOW YOU HAVEN'T BEEN FOOLED AND THEY CAN, I DON'T KNOW, TRY HARDER.

Vote for the candidates of your choice, vote your own way on the issues, but get out and vote. Today is the day, and tomorrow will be too late.
