In the course of a red hot discussion about "Kobe Diss," a music video purportedly discussing the murder of Tyrone "Ty Crack" Washington at Epic Nightclub, somebody sent me a link to a video on YouTube actually shot on the night of the shooting. Before you excitedly click on the video, keep in mind it doesn't show a lot...
Also, this video appears to be a compilation of two different videos. The first video, which is quite short, shows some aftermath of the shooting. There is confusion. A bartender crawls on the floor to take cover from the sound of gunfire. A group of women, staying together, walk rapidly away from where they perceive the danger to be. There is a "cameo" moment as some chunky dude can be seen pulling up his pants after, I presume, he had to move quickly and his baggy pants migrated southward.
The second video shows a singer on the stage singing. It is not clear to me if this is Yo Gotti or a warm up act.
At about 2 minutes, 39 seconds there is a loud sound which is oddly like a snare drum. You can see a sudden shift in the crowd's focus and energy. Another cell phone comes into view, also recording. The singer for Yo Gotti stays on stage but something has changed. He doesn't leave the stage; he starts hugging a series of fans but security appears to hover near. (One commenter claims that's not a gunshot but a bottle that was thrown and it was after the shooting)
It seems unlikely this video holds much of direct evidentiary value, but it tends to document the fact nobody was stopping or discouraging recording with cell phones that night at Yo Gotti. There may be other videos and photos at that event which could show clues about the identity of the shooter and witnesses present. If somebody posts links to other videos shot that night, I will commit to posting those videos, time permitting.
Thank you to the anonymous commenter who drew this matter to my attention.

ReplyDeleteThe shooting happened before Yo gotti even got on the stage didn't see the shooting but fell down and hurt myself due to running from the last concert I will be attending...horrible how these things happen ..you're supposed to be safe at a concert..but I guess not in Mold.
ReplyDeleteSo the individual on the stage is not "Yo Gotti" but a warm up act?
ReplyDeletePost has been corrected to reflect my uncertainty whether the singer on the stage is part of "Yo Gotti" or a warm-up act.
ReplyDeleteYes that's yo gotti but that footage was done after the shooting occurred people were fighting and bootless were being thrown..I was there the actual shooting happened before he got on stage...point blank period
