Dennis Lee Heard, Out Of Prison After A Weapons Charge, Now Charged With (What Else?) Weapons Possession...

Dennis Lee Heard was arrested on a weapons charge back in August of 2013, but he's still in jail today with bail set at $100,000. According to police and prosecutors, when a warrant was served on the "2200 block of Russell Ave. N.," both a sawed-off shotgun and a .40 caliber Glock turned up.

The shotgun was found...

...on top of "mailings addressed to Willie Rydel Wright" at the Russell Ave. N. address. JNS blog wrote previously about Wright and his likely involvement in a fatal shooting on Ilion Ave. N. Police say Wright's shirt was over the shotgun.

How did the know it was Wright's shirt? Well, it had Wright's boogers on it as proven by a boogerchondrial DNA test. (Seriously, I don't know how police know the shirt belongs to Wright)

The Glock, on the other hand, was found "near mailings addressed to Defendant Heard." Why criminals make identification of their weapons so easy by leaving those weapons near plainly-addressed mail, (allegedly) well, I blame drug-addled judgment.

In a statement made after police read him his rights, (see theory mentioned above) Heard admitted he lived at the Russell Ave. N. residence since after his release from prison on another weapons charged. The address is almost certainly 2218 Russell Ave. N., since that's where Heard is listed on the jail roster. However, the criminal complaint lists Heard's address as 5680 E. River Road #303 in Fridley, MN.

The property on Russell Ave. N. is a homestead owned by Alto B. Richardson. My search has turned up no criminal record under this name. According to an article in the Star Tribune, the home of Alto Richardson was one of many homes damaged in the 2011 tornado that tore up North Minneapolis. His name does come up as the plaintiff landlord in four different eviction actions in civil court, however.

  1. Obviously what's needed is for Mayor Betsy Hodges to write a letter arguing for citizenship for illegal aliens.

  2. If possession is 9 tenths of the law, then I KNOW this cat doesn't have to worry about getting busted for possession of his faculties.
