So a few days ago I was at a Memorial Day barbeque, and one of the guests at the party was Desi Fernandez, (on the right) who came up with the "Get To NoMi" artwork for North Minneapolis. I snapped a great pic of Desi with her girlfriend.
A number of NoMi movers and shakers have Desi's "Get To NoMi" image displayed prominently in their houses, which is great...but I think we need many more NoMi images. Who better to create the pictures than Desi?

I love love love Dezi's artwork - it's so charming, endearing, delightful to me.
I secretly wish she would do a series of neighborhood logo's for all 13 of the NoMi neighborhoods - it could be like a collector's edition.
Jordan first please! :-)
Agreed. Great artwork.
Great artwork and great slogan (hardly "cryptic" at all now!!!)... I agree that each of the 13 "NoMi" neighborhood scould be highlighted with their own slogan and art...
I still think a "NoMi" Community Gardens Festival would be a great way to promote all the (green) changes that are taking place...
Keep up the positive work: the changes are very noticable!!!
