I have not learned his legal name, but JNS blog has confirmed from a reliable source that a Facebook user named "Low'end Savage" is the young man shot on the No. 19 bus October 25.

It's Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving, JNS blog readers! 

Today at the Hennepin County Jail, almost certainly, some rudimentary attempt will be made to serve up a Thanksgiving meal. There will be turkey and mashed potatoes, and a red streak that MIGHT be cranberries. 

Hopefully the sight of that sad, humble Thanksgiving meal in the jailhouse contrasted against memories of much better, much more festive Thanksgiving Day meals will force many in the jail to seriously reconsider their life choices. 

Or, well, ALLEGED life choices.

Following up with an earlier blog post, JNS has now located the criminal complaint against Deandre Craig and though the charges are serious enough it's only ATTEMPTED Murder and not murder. 

Prosecutors say Craig shot a man in the chest in a dispute which the victim said, with painful gasping breaths, involved "my baby mama." Lying in on the sidewalk while being tended to by medics, the victim identified the shooter as "Drey" but couldn't say much more due to the extent of his injuries. The victim may have thought this was his dying declaration but surgeons ultimately saved his life from a bullet wound roughly an inch from his heart.

The shooting happened in front of the Olympic Cafe (923 West Broadway) which sits in the middle of what may be the roughest block in North Minneapolis and, therefore, the state.

JNS blog is amazed that searches of the jail roster keep turning up suspects with the word "murder" on their list of charges, and subsequent searches of the internet turn up no coverage of these serious charges.

Wilson is accused of being a "security guard" at an illegal gambling house which police recently shut down at 2507 West Broadway.

Well, this just keeps happening. Recently, I found a guy on the jail roster charged with murder (or attempted murder) named Deandre Craig. I was unable to turn up any information from other media about details of the charges against Craig. 

Tonight, looking further on the jail roster, I found a guy named Marshuan Trenell Williams, ALSO charged with murder (or attempted murder) and, once again, I was unable to find any media reporting on the charges. No, the charges do not appear to be from one related incident, just two SIMILAR incidents.

Deandre Washington Leroy Craig, who reportedly resides at 2122 Dupont Ave. N., has been sitting in jail since September 11. So how did this blogger (and all the other media) miss his million dollars bail and charges of second degree murder?

Every major media entity in the region did a story about the recent federal charges against members of 1-9 Dipset and the Stick Up Boys. (The actual gang members spell it "Sticc Up Boyz.") But none of those media entities--none I could find, anyway--provided a link to the actual federal indictment, which is quite voluminous and full of detail.

Personally, I like to read all the nitty gritty and I also like to provide it for my readers. Not always in that order. I'll actually be sharing it before I have a change to read it, myself.

So I guess we'll go on this journey of discovery together.

Obviously, for several years Clark and this blogger have been on opposite sides of a complex conflict over the fate of North Minneapolis, a conflict some have dubbed the "NoMi blog wars." 

But recently this blogger has made peace with IBNN blogger Don Allen (who once testified as Clark's witness against this blogger in the "Blogosphere Trial of the Century") and this blogger has repeatedly urged an end to the "NoMi Blog Wars" and a focus on more productive, "common ground" issues to help our troubled, blood-soaked neighborhood. 

Clearly, the "wars" in our neighborhood do not cover merely social media and don't stay within the bleeding geographic boundaries of North Minneapolis. After reading a particularly amusing fundraising email from Minnesota Senator Al Franken, I told myself I would publish a "pumpkin spice blog post" before autumn ends with the first snowstorm of Minnesota winter. It would appear I have hours or minutes left to accomplish that goal before we are buried in (so says the forecast) 18 inches of nature's fury.

The enemies of order and decency can't stand Sheriff Stanek. He is like the devil to them. I keep getting emails from one crazy in particular and if emails could transmit spittle, well, I would need to open those emails with latex gloves. 

And I would still shudder, as I felt the warmth of the fresh spittle through the thin latex gloves. 

When the crazies and crackpots don't like a candidate, that tells me plenty about that candidate.
