Information on the Hennepin County Jail Roster shows Dwayne Andre Garner (DOB 6/17/89) was arrested December 2.
He's charged with giving a peace officer a false name, possessing more than 1.4 grams of marijuana in a motor vehicle, driving after suspension, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and SECOND DEGREE MURDER...
...not premeditated.

Garner is reportedly a resident of 406 Humboldt Ave. N., an address which causes something odd to happen with the Minneapolis online property information, click here.
There is no owner or taxpayer information available on that property. Yes, the property exists and has an online entry, but there's just no information. A notice appears on the site saying the information may be incomplete, and if somebody has "concerns" and could update the information, to call 311.
Clicking upon various tabs to find out former owners of the property, business licenses, etcetera, all produces the same complete dearth of information.
That's the first time I've used the word "dearth" in my writing and I'm pretty excited about it. In the coming year, I hope to use the phrase "You bet your sweet bippy."
Anyway...
I do not know which murder is the source of these recent charges. I'm looking into that, though I'm about four murders behind.
As for Dwayne Andre Garner himself, he had a conviction in 2010 for second degree assault and did a 36 month stretch in St. Cloud prison, with credit for 128 days served. In 2009 he was convicted of carrying a pistol without a permit. In 2010 he had probation violation hearings repeatedly scheduled and rescheduled. He still owes $50 to the court system for one of his convictions.
Garner also has a narcotics loitering charge from 2008. It should be noted there is another guy with the name Dwayne Andre Garner, but the other guy was born in 1965. Could be a close relative. Who knows? The other guy's criminal record is fairly extensive, as well.
Like I said...could be a close relative.

Officers responded to a SHOOT at North High and upon arrival located a 14 year old female who’d been struck in the arm however the bullet did not break the skin. Officers then directed by dispatch to 1230 Knox where they located Orlando Nunn, 19 year old black male w/22 CAPRS, with non life threatening wounds to his lower legs. Witnesses reported males in a blue car shot at a group of black males, one of which was Nunn. Shortly thereafter 911 caller reported a male w/a gun and officers located him and a loaded 40 caliber Glock, a Lakeville stolen, which he said the shooters dropped from the car. Arrested was Dwayne Garner, an 18 year old black male w/11 CAPRS who was later described by the victim as being with him when he was shot 08-084533

Incredible. I performed a Google search using all three of his names, but neglected to search using just two names because I figured the name was common enough and would turn up too many results. And I didn't search MY OWN BLOG using just those two names.
So it turns out the guy once made a minor guest appearance right here on JNS blog. Well, now he's hit the big time.
