JNS Blog Digs Into Alleged "Dog Fighting" Addresses Associated With Recent Arrest Of Leroy Longs, Finds One Of The Homes (3310 6th St. N.) Belonged To Monique White Of Occupy Minnesota Fame...

The Star Tribune story about a recent arrest over a dog fighting operation listed six addresses where pit bulls were seized after police used GPS to track the movements of Leroy Longs. This blog is doing its usual thing, jumping off information in the mainstream media and digging deeper.

Here are the seven addresses...

2918 Girard Av. N., both units; 1730 Oliver Av. N.; 2101 6th St. N.; 3750 Bryant Av. N.; 3310 6th St. N.; 1114 21st Av. N., and 3106 Irving Av. N. Dogs also were found at 7819 Angeline Dr. in New Hope.

Here's what I can tell you about each address.

*2918 Girard Ave. N. is a homesteaded property owned by Brenda J. Jenkins whose address is listed as PO Box 68015 Minneapolis, MN 55418. Since my usual online court record source, MNCIS, is down on Sunday I am unable at this moment to research this woman's record, if any. 

Back in the day when our neighborhood wasn't full of crime, somebody named Ronald L. Peterson listed the address as his home, apparently while serving in the Fifth Naval Construction Battalion. The address appears in a place of honor in a book called Journal of Two Journeys. 

It is also the address of Ladies Lending A Hand LLC. I have to wonder what the ladies are lending a hand with, exactly. One word, though it's an acronym composed of four words:

RICO  

(The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act)

The address has also been associated with the names "Tonya Ashman" and "Ezra Hyman." 

* 1730 Oliver Ave. N. is a rental owned by Tina Grigsby, though the taxpayer is listed as Roblee Perkins. Nothing much turns up about the property, but those are more names to run later.

* 2101 6th St. N. is a rental property owned by Abco Home Solutions LLC out in freaking BLAINE, Minnesota. The taxpayer is listed as Gary L. Hogren. 

The home was a foreclosure in 2007. 

Gary L. Hogren's name turns up with something called "A Plus Investor", the address of which is 4149 Lyndale Ave. N. The website for A Plus Investors is one of those "We Buy Houses" entities. 

The rabbit hole goes deeper when I examine 4149 Lyndale Ave. N., because THAT address is owned by BMH Properties LLC of Golden Valley. (It's always possible there are TWO Gary L. Hogrens, of course, one listed on 2101 6th St. N. and a different one involved in "A Plus Investor," and both of these Gary L. Hogrens in a small geographic area) (Kinda doubt it, though) 

* 3750 Bryant Ave. N. was a foreclosure as recently as 2012. It is owned by Restored Bungalows LLC of Excelsior, MN. There's no rental license. 

* 3310 6th St. N. according to city records is owned by Celestar Monique White and it's a homesteaded property. OH MY GOODNESS!!! That's the same home and the same "Monique White" who got all the attention from Occupy Minnesota over the foreclosure of her home, with protests at the property and everything. ADDENDUM, 8:20 PM. However, unknown if these city records are up to date. Somebody on North Talk scrutinizing real estate data believes Monique White no longer owns the house, DESPITE what online city records say. 

Here is a photo of Monique White's house, the yard filled with well-meaning yuppies who are going to save her from oppression. Who was saving those innocent dogs? The big bad MPD, it would appear.

* 1114 21st Ave. N. is a rental owned by Camelot Estates LLC, the home address of which is 3046 Bryant Ave. SOUTH. THAT address is a rental owned by Lorie W. Miller of Roseville, MN.

* 3106 Irving Ave. N. is a rental owned by Lourdes Ortiz, whose address is 2642 11th Ave. S. The house on Irving Ave. N. was flagged for lack of utilities in 2010 but it was also sold in 2010, so the lack of utilities might have been associated with the house being empty.

The 11th Ave. S. address associated with Lourdes Ortiz is owned by Gonzalo G. Riera of the same address, but Lourdes Ortiz is listed as the homesteader.
