Some hours ago, mainstream media sources named the second (alleged) attacker of Minneapolis mayoral candidate Mark Andrew as Deea Leshawn Elliott, a juvenile.
In a story that made national news, 63-year-old Andrew was robbed of his cell phone at Mall of America and then jumped by two female accomplices. But Andrew fought back, causing the arrest of both of his attackers and, incredibly, his cell phone was recovered, as well.
The mainstream media appear to be writing their story off this charging document (click here), but withholding many facts contained in the document. It is, however, the bread and butter of this blog to reveal a more granular level of factual detail neglected by the mainstream media.
Few stories will illustrate the difference between mainstream media and this blog like THIS story...
Because 17-year-old Elliott is a juvenile, her parents are named in the complaint against her, which alleges she is delinquent. Her parents are Bryant Oneal Powell and Delanza Deshawn Elliott, both of them residents of 5223 Girard Ave. North, a homesteaded property owned by Delanza Elliot. Remember that address, because it becomes important, later.

I did, however, look into the drug charge at the top and, yes, she was convicted of THAT.
Turning back to the address of this couple, where the juvenile lives, as well, it is also known to be the address of a guy named Bryant Deshawn Elliott who was the subject of a story on this blog back in January of this year, click here. Elliott, whose nickname is "Bay Bay" (judgmental eye roll by the blogger) was convicted in the murder of a guy named Daron Bolden.
Bolden died in the yard of renowned (former) North Minneapolis poet Bryan Thao Worra. This blogger dubbed the homicide the "cosmic meat raffle murder" because Worra was once the winner of a meat raffle, (so random) while Bolden lost the biggest meat raffle of them all.
Given the age and surname of Elliott, I would assume he's the uncle or older brother to the 17-year-old accused Mall of America assailant. Here is his picture from the Minnesota Department of Corrections website. He'll be incarcerated until 2030, and on probation until 2039; at which time his probation supervisor will most likely be A ROBOT.
So how about that? Two criminals for parents and a murderer for a close blood relative. I wonder what the EXTENDED family looks like?

What makes you think that sitting at your "desk" reading criminal complaints and cutting and pasting from documents is "journalism?"
John, go to page 26 of the mug shot site you listed in this story and you will find a picture of your female friend who likes to defend sex offenders. She looks like she got attacked by a gorilla! She likes to assault people, so watch out!
So...If the minor is to young to be responsible for her actions and only subject to a misdemeanor - who's charge will she be released to?
WHOSE charge will she be released to, since she's a minor?
I would assume those low-life parents of hers. No doubt they'll box her around the ears and tell her where failure was obvious and apparent in the planning stages of this crime.
Anon. 11:52, if you read the charging statements you will see there are three felonies. No misdemeanors. Plus she will most likely be charged as an adult.
