More than a year ago, I stumbled upon the story of Philander Jenkins, who was convicted of a North Minneapolis murder after he decided it was more pressing to hop in bed with a naked woman than clean up his bloodstained clothing.
His lawyers were Jill Clark and her "partner in crime," Jill M. Waite. Click here for that old story. Waite was suspended from the practice of law for five months. Presumably she is practicing again.
At the time I wrote about Philander's failed appeal, I didn't have a mug shot so I used an artsy fartsy photo of bricks to convey...I don't know...PRISON WALLS OR SOMETHING.
Well, I turned up Jenkins' mug shot recently while browsing the Minnesota Department of Corrections website and I thought I'd make a point of publishing it.
