First, the tedious obligatory backstory: Peter Rickmyer, a Level Three Sex Offender and molester of minors, has made something of a career of filing frivolous litigation against his Northside neighbors (et al) for, it would appear, purposes of intimidation and hateful spite against the world...

And so it begins again. Peter Rickmyer, a Level Three sex offender who left Oklahoma around 1990 and still has an active warrant for his arrest, albeit not an EXTRADITABLE warrant, has been filing numerous frivolous lawsuits for the last several years as an intimidation tactic against decent people in the neighborhood. Because of his frivolous filings, Rickmyer has been barred under Rule 9 from making further filings in Hennepin County without a lawyer (a real lawyer, with a license) signing off on the filings. 

Undeterred, Rickmyer sued this blogger and others in federal court and his lawsuit was slapped down. Despite the failure of his lawsuit on its face and a $5,000 judgment for filing a baseless suit, Rickmyer was not completely barred from making further federal filings. Why? Well, the legal rationale was apparently that Rickmyer was nowhere near the all time record for frivolous filings as described in the applicable case law...

Peter Rickmyer, whose right to file lawsuits in Hennepin County District Court has been whittled down to a splinter, recently made a filing which, in summary, requested the prohibitions against his filing of lawsuits be lifted. 

As reported here on this blog, (who else would care?) the district court rejected Rickmyer's filing and (in my opinion) Rickmyer is lucky he didn't get jailed for that filing since it appears to violate the plain and unambiguous wording of prohibitions against him making, well, MORE COURT FILINGS...

Peter Rickmyer is a Level Three Sex Offender who (incredibly) has been wanted on a "non-extraditable" warrant out of Oklahoma since Kurt Cobain was signed up with Sub Pop records and nobody knew what Teen Spirit smelled like. Frolicking around as free as you please in defiance of law, morality and social norms, Rickmyer has repeatedly filed baseless harassing lawsuits against various individuals and entities, including this blog. He has been declared a "frivolous litigant" in state court (but not yet in federal court) who isn't allowed to make filings on his own, pro se.

Yet THAT didn't stop Rickmyer from making another filing earlier this month...
