Beautify Boarded Up Houses: GOOD IDEA!!! 4
This last image comes from the boards around a construction site.
Apparently, whoever was hanging around drawing on the boards had quite an enthusiasm for architecture. Like the first image, this shows how much expressiveness is possible without multiple colors.
But while the first image of yellow curtains is very simple, this image in quite complex.
Also, this image would be difficult to see from a distance, so this would draw a viewer closer to the structure.
Heck, one might want to save something like that and frame it!

Kick ass!
Keep up the posting of Foreclosure Art, it's a positive outlet for a very down reality.
If these works can bring attention to blight, the better.Dour humour is a necessary element to any public discussion.
Glad you dig it, Karl. If you join me on the North Side, projects like this can span the bridge between your enthusiasm for tagging and my complete non-enthusiasm for tagging.
Somebody with artistic knack can start with the boards on the house I'm buying. That could be photographed, documented...then used as a model to convince the owners of other houses to allow this kind of thing on the boards of THEIR houses.
No painting boards without permission. This kind of thing is best done on the up-and-up.
