JNS blog his some amazing readership numbers this weekend, which I attribute to extensive coverage of circumstances surrounding the life and death of Chukwumah "Terry" Okolie. While mainstream media seemed to be taking Labor Day weekend off, JNS blog filled in the gaps for readers who, it appeared, had plenty of personal time to read blog stories on the internet.

Almost as quickly as this blogger reported on the murder of Chukwumah Terrell Okolie, two rumors came my way.

First, that Chukwumah went by "Terry," and who wouldn't?

Second, that Terry was murdered over a haircut.

Well, there seems to be something to both rumors...

Two hours ago, the Star Tribune revealed the name of the man found shot Thursday at 42nd and Fremont Ave. N. is Chukwumah Terrell Okolie.

It certainly wouldn't be fair to say "Chuk" has an extensive record of criminal convictions, because I can only find one. But it's a case of quality, not quantity...
