Almost as quickly as this blogger reported on the murder of Chukwumah Terrell Okolie, two rumors came my way.
First, that Chukwumah went by "Terry," and who wouldn't?
Second, that Terry was murdered over a haircut.
Well, there seems to be something to both rumors...
How, I wondered, does somebody get murdered over a haircut? I pictured a scenario where Chuk didn't have enough money to pay for a haircut, and passions rise. Or where Chuk gets an extreme haircut, somebody says something about it, and passions rise. I had even developed a pet theory that maybe the haircut was expressive, somehow. Maybe it was one of those haircuts involving intricate designs and the designs said something (what else could it be) about a gang, or a girl or SOMETHING worth killing over.
Well, "Terry Okolie" is on Facebook, click here for his profile IF YOU HAVE A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT, otherwise you probably wont' be able to view it.
The profile appears to be completely centered around Terry's work (I would have to say extremely skillful work, even if it's not my thing) as a barber. Terry has posted pictures of haircuts, apparently created by him, of which he's particularly proud.
Examples will follow in a subsequent blog post. For now, it's time to get the word out. When people die in the streets, the public needs to know what's going on and they don't need to know TOMORROW or TUESDAY when the mainstream media might get around to showing up and giving us some details.
