JNS blog continues its mission to trace the genealogy of known and named crime families of Minneapolis. Recently I wrote about Leontaye Antez Slaughter-McCaskel, who is wanted fugitive convicted of gun possession, click here. 

I knew Leontaye was linked, somehow, to convicted murderer James Leon Ferguson, a patriarch of the notorious Ferguson crime family, but I wasn't sure of all the "begats." Who brings a gun to the hospital? Well, if you've been assaulted and left for dead by a rival gang member, it probably seems like a good idea. Click here for the criminal complaint against Lakeric McCaskill.

This blog has a new emphasis: There are crime families in North Minneapolis. Their existence, actions, and what to do about "crime families" was an issue in the most recent mayoral campaign. 

The election is over, but the issue is not going away. This blog has published a purported list of the crime families, and I am working on digging up more info. Right now, I am assembling a long article about the Ferguson crime family, a leading member of which is pictured above.
