Meranda Lynn Warborg was arrested in July of last year, accused of being involved in trafficking minors in the sex industry. (Click here for criminal complaint) She has already pled guilty. 

The trafficking took place at a Mahmoud Khan rental property, no less, which was 2722 Oliver Avenue North. This fact was mentioned in a Star Tribune story about Khan, click here, if you can stand the little pop ups ads where the Star Tribune keeps reminding you that you've read enough free stories and it's time to "subscribe."

According to information from some good citizen in the neighborhood, which was forwarded to me by email, this morning there was a possible gas leak at 2401 Ilion Ave. N., the location of a recent homicide reported extensively here on JNS blog. The Minneapolis fire department and emergency crews from Centerpoint Energy and Xcel responded. JNS believes MPD was probably on the scene as well though that fact was not reported to me.

The house is reportedly empty since the arrest of the leaseholders after the recent homicide incident. One citizen, speaking well for all of us, wrote as follows:

Word reaches JNS blog that letters have gone around to all the licensed rental properties in the Fourth Precinct, stating that a crackdown will begin July 19 on rental property, with particular emphasis upon "conduct on premises" provisions.

Not that I'm complaining.

If officers of the Fourth Precinct would like a road map to bad behavior on Northside rental properties, they could use JNS blog. For the past several years, I have made a constant practice of determining the addresses of criminal suspects, then scrutinizing the properties where they live and making connections to the slumlord class.

Sometimes I even come up with the name of a rental property owner OTHER THAN Mahmoud Khan.

An online petition has been circulating via email chain in regard to slumlord Mahmoud Khan, owner of the property at 2401 Ilion Ave. N. where a homicide took place recently. 

It turns out neighbors had already complained about the tenants at that property. In response, it appears slumlord Mahmoud Khan replaced the tenants...

With WORSE tenants.

Back in November I wrote about a "street justice" incident that went wrong when thugs broke into a house trying to recover lost property (allegedly and allegedly) but it turned out the people who had stolen the property were not present in the house. Terrorized residents, including small children, cowered on the floor at gunpoint while Lisa Kay Krueger and her friends looked around for the people who had supposedly taken her property.

An anonymous commenter posted allegations on this blog about Lisa Kay Krueger and another guy, which made me go running to look for certain criminal complaints of a serious nature. There was mention of Krueger being in possession of EXPLOSIVES and my commenter pointed out, well, she's a tenant of that Mahmood Khan guy.

As it turns out, I have been able to partially verify the allegations of my anonymous commenter...

Yesterday, my fellow Northside blogger Hawthorne Hawkman managed to confirm what I strongly suspected: 

A house fire on the 2000 block of 21st Ave. N. took place at slumlord Mahmood Khan's property at 2008 21st Ave. N., pictured above. This is the SECOND near-fatal fire at a Khan property to take place this year.

It was only back in early March when a fire at 4425 Aldrich Ave. N. injured nine people, leading to a lot of media coverage and editorial comments by this blogger which were strongly-worded even by my usual freewheeling standards.
