The federal indictment announced today over gangs and guns (click here) was a walk down memory lane for JNS blog. Before some of those names appeared on that federal indictment, for years these were familiar figures to readers of JNS blog. 

In particular, no other media entity was writing about Nitelen Jackson EXCEPT Johnny Northside, and I wrote more than a dozen articles, click here for an example. 

I must say, my faith in Nitelen has been rewarded handsomely! His talents were discovered by this blog, but now he's on to bigger and better things.

Nitelen Jackson, who is currently incarcerated, is a Northside criminal whose use of social media is prolific and has been extensively documented by this blog. But even Johnny Northside wasn't aware of the full extent of Nitelen's social media usage until I stumbled upon some of his videos on YouTube in the course of researching his (reputed) sister, Exotica Taylor, love interest of another thug who busted a man's skull over a stolen gun.

Nitelen Jackson, currently incarcerated, got his fair share of publicity here on JNS blog but it was a lot more than other people's shares. In the course of researching YouTube videos uploaded by Exotica Taylor, a stripper associated with another crime story involving a stolen gun and a fractured skull, I came upon this video, above, featuring Nitelen Jackson.

Jackson is highly identifiable by his face and distinctive tattoos, as well as his alias, King Night or King Nite. In fact, some of the lyrics in the song reflect stuff he posted on Facebook, specifically the repetition of the phrase "every day."

The song, which is done quite skillfully though this blogger is not the world's biggest fan of gangster rap music, has some very interesting lines...

Nitelen Jackson, who first came to the attention of this blog when an anonymous commenter dropped his name, and then became something of his own blog subtopic, is now in prison.

I was looking at the jail roster recently and noticed he'd been "released" to other authorities. I dropped a comment upon one of the many blog posts I've written about him (who can forget the "Nine Days And Nights Of Nitelen?") about his release from jail, and as luck would have it...

This blog is counting down the days until Nitelen Jackson turns himself in to serve a 45 day sentence for theft, posting something each day. This is a tribute to the Minneapolis Police Department who work so hard to get thugs off the streets, only to have the revolving door of justice turn them loose to commit more mayhem.

Nitelen Jackson is going to jail on July 5, assuming he follows through with a plan to turn himself in to serve a 45 day sentence for theft. Meanwhile, this blog is counting down the days. Nitelen came to the fixated attention of this blog because of a picture, posted on the Facebook profile of Da Trend Setter, in which Nitelen can be seen brandishing a pistol next to a curbside "thug memorial."

As I wrote about yesterday, Nitelen Jackson is going to jail in nine, no, make that EIGHT days and Johnny Northside Dot Com is counting them down.

Jackson's Facebook profile is an amazing documentary of thug life, and here are the first of its many treasures. Like a previous blog posting, this is a chance to "test your knowledge of thug speak" and see how much of the conversation you can understand.

On October 25, 2011, Jackson posted this image of a resoundingly negative paternity test and wrote, "Told y'all iant have no fuckin kids now say sorry for talkin so bad about me please" (sic, no period at end of sentence)

An anonymous commenter identified the "thug brandishing a weapon" in a previous post as Nitelen Jackson.

I attempted to verify the information (not really hopeful I could) and discovered Nitelen Jackson uses his own name on Facebook, and furthermore, announced today he was going to jail in "nine days."

Also, based on viewing literally HUNDREDS of photos of Nitelen Jackson I can say with confidence that, yes, the thug brandishing the weapon in the photo I previously published is indeed none other than Nitelen Jackson.

This Facebook information about going to jail in "nine days" matches with online MNCIS information for Nitelen Derese Jackson, DOB 11/13/1990. Jackson is due to serve a sentence of  45 days beginning 07/05/2012 at 9 AM. The sentence is for theft/take/transfer movable property without consent.

Jackson has an impressive rap sheet, and here it is...
