Regular readers are well aware of my obsession with official paper slapped on the doors of houses, how it's like coin collecting or bird watching to me. Well, this morning I had a rare, memorable encounter with a virtually unheard-of placard phenomenon.
AN ALBINO CONDEMNATION NOTICE!
Well, actually...
...the condemnation notice has been posted since 2006 and, exposed to the weather, it appears to have lost all its brilliant "safety scarlet" color. Or did the city use plain white notices a few years ago?
In any case, the notice tends to show just how long a house can sit vacant or condemned without very much happening. Not that I'm complaining too much, mind you. Progress is a-jumping in enormous leaps and bounds. But finding something like this, I can't help but think...what's the story? Why has this one fallen through the cracks?

Oh God. When the "Albinos are gentrifying the Northside" conspiracy theories start popping up, we'll know who to blame :-(
What is the address?
I'll have to go back and get the address...I was busy having visitation with my son on Sunday and, I must confess, I threw those posts together quickly. But it's in Jordan.
