Paralyzed Victim From "Bloody No. 19" Bus Shooting Incident Is Lamon Deshawn Gayfield Of Brooklyn Center, If He'd Served His 88 Day Suspended Sentence He Wouldn't Have Been On That Bus...

JNS blog has now confirmed the name of the paralyzed victim of an October 25 shooting on the "Bloody No. 19" bus route is a 19-year-old named Lamon Gayfield. Click here for previous in-depth coverage including the criminal complaint against alleged shooter Devonere A. Johnson.

An anonymous commenter dropped the name "Lamon Gayfield" in front of me, leading me to look for evidence this was, indeed, the young man's name. Evidence was easy enough to find. Lemon Gayfield, called "L.G." in the criminal complaint about his shooting, once called himself "Low'end Savage" on Facebook. Now, adopting more...

...of a "decent citizen" posture, Lamon has switched over to using his legal name on Facebook.

JNS blog is glad to see it. Mr. Gayfield has a long, difficult road ahead of him due to being paralyzed. Medical science has not yet allowed victims of a severed spinal cord to walk again, (except with robotic legs) but as young as Lamon Gayfield is there's a hopeful chance he may see medical science miracles in his lifetime. Gayfield should cling to faith and hope and sincerely ask what God wants from him, since Lamon very nearly had a meeting with his Maker on October 25 but got an indefinite extension.

Regrettably, Gayfield has a minor criminal record as shown by records on MNCIS. But unlike other individuals I write about with criminal records, these facts are not relevant in precisely the same way.

With other individuals, I show their criminal records out of concern they will continue with reprehensible criminal activity. But with Gayfield paralyzed from the neck down, now my only reason for publishing the record is to demonstrate "this is what happens, sometimes, to individuals who are living this kind of lifestyle." In other words, a "cautionary tale."

As for Mr. Gayfield, he has has NO CHOICE but to make radically different lifestyle choices.

Having said that...

In January of this year, he was convicted of disorderly conduct. He was put on probation and was, in fact, still on probation at the moment the bus shooting happened. His probation goes until January of 2015. Conditions of probation included staying away from the victim's house and paying $200 restitution.

In February, he was convicted of trespassing. His probation condition includes "stay away from Mall of America." He failed to appear at a hearing and a warrant was issued, but eventually the matter was cleared up and probation continued. Gayfield still owes $50 to the courts from that matter.

In May, Gayfield pled guility to disorderly conduct. He apparently served 5 days and the rest was stayed. His probation conditions included, incredibly, "No fleeing from the police."

On October 6 of this year, just a couple weeks before the bus shooting, Gayfield pled to trespassing into an area cordoned off by a police officer. Here is a link, click here, to the mugshot associated with that incident. Gayfield served two days and had 88 days suspended.

Ironically, if Gayfield had served his time he wouldn't have been shot and paralyzed on that bus after attacking Devonere Johnson, allegedly, resulting in Johnson shooting Gayfield after shouting a warning, allegedly.

Gayfield still owes the court system $128 associated with this second trespassing incident.

All the online court records show Lamon being a resident of Brooklyn Center. He went to Patrick Henry High School where he was recognized along with a number of other students for pulling up his GPA by at least .5 points.

Searching Lamon Deshawn Gayfield's full name on Google pulls up the Patrick Henry High School "honor roll" mixed in with numerous and duplicative online arrest records from sites like "Criminal Faces Dot Com." This is what happens when the sacred academic notion of an "Honor Roll" gets diluted with "hooray, you made a slight improvement on your GPA."

My editorial opinion. And I do have one.

In light of these ongoing violent and high-profile bus shooting incidents, JNS blog calls for armed, round-the-clock security aboard the "Bloody No. 19."

He appears to have a very tough and uncertain road ahead of him. The photo is heartbreaking.

My 2 thoughts are that a person should think a little harder before acting like a bad-ass and trying to whoop up on somebody thinking this person has no inclination to defend themselves or take your punk ass out. Too bad another active criminal is dead...HUH?

In regard to the "karma" remark, I think it is mean-spirited but I generally publish substantive commentary of that kind in hopes of having a useful First Amendment dialog.

In regard to the comment saying "you be da prob wit" I really don't quite grasp what the commenter is trying to say, unless the commenter is mad about my discussion of how the shooter may have perceived the situation as one of self-defense.

I'm pretty sure she was talking to me. She is also clearly trying to pretend she is ''street'' but is doing a terrible job at. How you ain't know?

It looks as though his fingers were positioned into to some type of gang sign ..no shit that his friends do not care about him and will soon abandon him.

How about this?;:). That is what you get for fucking around and acting like a bad ass when you know better.
No one really expects that their next confron will be their last. When you die and when you are gone their will be another cockroach born into this world to carry on.

It's a close call whether those fingers were "positioned into a gang sign." I saw the same thing but decided it was too close to call. His finger might have just been resting on his knee like that.

I bet his homies thought it was funny that they positioned his fingers the way they thought would get a laugh or an obviously ego-centric response...too bad they will let him rot and fuck his bitches or rummage through his possessions and forget about him.

That is a terrible and mean thing to say and crudely expressed. The only reason I am publishing your comment is in a spirit of free discussion.

This is sad. But, I do think he shouldn't of attacked this man. So much more to life. I pray for him. And I hope he has a good support system. Its too bad he didnt just make a different choice that day.

The person that shot him is a parasite to the north side and carries drugs namely heroin back and forth from Chicago to Minneapolis. Yes i know this for a fact. While neither hands are clean , the kid that shot him likes to start trouble and then call the cops or brandish a gun. This fight, shooting occured over a girl who was back and forth between them and has a child with lg. Expect more trash from shooter. Garunteed.

This is for Jessie Shinnick who comment as annonymous. Don't sneak diss you told him where I was to set me up he ran up with his homie and I was in fear of my life so I shot him. I even warned him. Funny thing is how can L.G shoot at my crib and then try to fight??? 😂

Well, I'm in the process of retiring from this blog but if you want to write out your experience and submit it as a comment, go ahead.

I think if the comment exceeds something like 4,000 characters it won't submit, so if you're going to write a whole lot then you will want to break it up into more than one comment box.
