412 29th Ave. N., Scene Of "Dice Game Murder," Is Owned By Car Wash LLC Of 2928 Grand Ave. S., Minneapolis MN 55408

Photo and blog post by John Hoff

It's not clear from reading Matt McKinney's article in the Star Tribune whether the house at 412 29th Ave. N. is actually occupied by any of the individuals involved in the recent murder of Mario D. Combs, which took place out in front of the house. Of course, I've never found Matt McKinney to be a terribly clear writer who manages to hit essential points that can be summarized as Who, What, When, WHERE (stomp stomp) How, and Why.

Looking into the address, one finds it is a rental property owned by "Car Wash, LLC" of 2928 Grand Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55408. Then doing a search for THAT address reveals to "smoke and mirrors" pattern common to the slumlord class of North Minneapolis...

The property on Grand Ave. S. is owned by Expanding Estates, LLC of 3575 Tiffany Lane, Shoreview, MN. However, two other LLCs are listed at that address: L & Z Estates, LLC, and Golden Point, LLC. On the address at 2928 Grand Ave. S. an interesting name turns up as the homesteader:

ROBERT SERR.

I've heard this name before, and it's been mentioned on my blog before, click here.

So that's a total of FOUR LLCs which turn up when you look at this one small, very unimpressive house at 412 29th Ave. N. where a man was shot dead in a dispute over a dice game.

My nostrils are very sensitive to the odor of slumlord and right now I've got a snootful. I should add, however: nice view of Farview Park from this property. Too bad the folks who live there have apparently given up on the idea of shoveling the front door for the winter.

So you don't know if that house is even linked to this murder and you feature it here anyway? You could pick ANY house in Nomi and say the same thing. What a waste of your words.

The article seems to imply it is linked, but didn't say explicitly. Usually STrib articles use block numbers and yet here the STrib wrote the specific address. What's up with THAT?

Also, you can't pick ANY house in North Minneapolis and say the same thing.

Besides, it's linked well enough: problem people gravitate to problem properties. The fact it's owned by a Robert Serr entity says plenty. And, again, the STrib listed the property in its article.

I am just providing supplementary info specific to the property listed in the STrib article, filling in the spaces like the blogosphere does.

Ever seen Robert's business card? Says something to the extent of "Fabulous Cribs and Ghetto Prices."

I wasn't bluffing and I'm not backing down, John. I'd like to be a part of the dialogue here on Robert Serr, as I have additional information pertinent to this post and issue.

However, the comment in question still has not been restored, nor has your public or private explanation been satisfactory.

Oh no! We might be denied hearing Hawthorne Hawkman's tedious, self-important ramblings!! What are we going to do??? How will we ever know what to think about anything unless he tells us what the "real" answers are???

Sorry you feel that way, but I think I was more than forthcoming.

@Anon 2:46, there's still a space for my tedious ramblings over on NXNS. I have enough respect for the people involved and what they are trying to do on behalf of NoMi that there are certain things I won't state here regarding this issue.

@John, the comment has been verified as legitimate and under your own blog's policy should therefore be republished.

I would like to know why the snow hasn't been plowed very well.

@ HH: Thank you for your highly self-important and yet disingenuous answer!

See most recent blog post. It is now confirmed the alleged shooter and one of the witnesses was a resident of the house in question. The instinct of this blog to promulgate information about the house has proved correct.
