The endless saga of 2222 4th St. N. looks to be coming to an end. As early as 2009, neighbors thought the house would soon be demolished by slumlord Mahmoud Khan (he of the eight units and one smoke detector) fought a court battle to save the property. He lost.

This is the property where the body of Annshalike Hamilton, 15, was found in the garage. The murder remains unsolved though Hamilton's mother has repeatedly voiced her suspicions about who she believes killed her daughter.
As of today, a backhoe is parked in front of the property.
It is assumed demolition will begin tomorrow.
Not a moment too soon!
And by "moment" I mean, well, YEAR.

Was it Khan that found the body? That was mentioned as a possibility in a previous post on this address.
It seems a shame to tear this down so soon after a $115,000 renovation was done by licensed contractors using quality materials after obtaining all the required permits and following the building and mechanical codes, and passing all inspections with flying colors (lol NOT.) Something must have gone wrong.
What happened to the new landscaping shown on the plans that got the demolition delayed (back in 2008 lol) the plans looked really nice, shrubs, path; again, something must have gone wrong.

Looks like the BoD is on a rampage. Just left the house next to mine a couple days ago.

Agree with Anon. 12:54
WTF is with this City that they think we need to tear everything down?
Why don't they just get rid of the bad players?
Too much work to enforce the laws?
Khan is better at paying for quality drawings than actually getting the work done.
Is Mahmoud Khan's middle name Kamal? Out here in Lincoln county a property owned by "Mahmoud Kamal Kahn" is on the delinquent property tax list.
I wish there was a Johnny Northside in St. Paul.
I don't know his middle name. What address is listed for the owner of the property in St. Paul? And what is the address of the property?
We shouldn't be tearing this property down. We should put a homeless family in the property and fix it up. This home should belong to the community not the backhoe of doom. I would support an action to move someone in and prevent the demolition.
How sad that Minneapolis can't get control of the people they license and have to tear apart the neighborhood to get rid of them!
Hey Erik of the North - where is that picture from. That's quite the picture. Enter it in a photog contest.
Yup, If I had Cockroaches in my kitchen, I wouldn't tear out the cabinets and expect that they had left!
