Details In Complaint Against John Iverson, Accused Of Killing A Bicyclist While Driving Drunk, Are Horrible To Contemplate...

Mugshot, therefore public domain, blog post by John Hoff

Click here for criminal complaint which provides details of a previous story on this blog. But be warned. It is upsetting.

I guess most criminal complaints are highly upsetting to SOMEBODY. Let me put it another way. This criminal complaint is graphic and terrible and if you're a bicyclist, you will be outraged and horrified and you might even re-think your biking hobby, it's THAT bad...

It has long been the habit of this blog to provide source documents whenever possible so readers can draw their own informed conclusions. It's one thing which sets this blog apart from bigger mass media entities; I refuse to play "hide the ball" or "We are the final arbiter of facts."

So normally I look at the criminal complaint and write a (hopefully, somewhat) gripping story from the details. But in this case City Pages blog has done a fine job with the details. Any details they left out, well...

I choose in this particular instance to refrain from writing out the further details of upsetting facts out of concern for the family and friends of the bicyclist, probably applying the same standard as City Pages.

Those with a "need to know," click the link way up at the top.

He has a conviction for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle back in 1985 when Iverson (born in 1964) would have been about two years past high school.

He has a disorderly conduct conviction from 2004.

And that's it. At least that's all that turned up on MNCIS.
