Word comes to me from an anonymous source that a letter exists, written by E.B. Brown, apparent chairperson of the "Old Majority" faction in the JACC controversy, which was given to members of the nominating committee on the night of the board member elections.
In the letter, Brown reportedly apologizes for not being "more available" and "more involved" in the nominating committee.
The fact E.B. Brown is held up as the chair of the "Old Majority" faction, and yet seems to have pulled back from all the action is an ongoing, unexplained aspect of this entire convoluted controversy.
I am working on getting a copy of the purported letter. The JNS blog intends to continue leading in the coverage of this Jordan Neighborhood "tempest in a teapot" so far ignored by the mainstream media. I see a neighborhood in dramatic political re-alignment, a struggle that will determine the destiny of the Jordan neighborhood for decades.
