Shawn Lee Jackson had far less than 15 minutes of fame on this blog, mentioned in a single paragraph along with half a dozen other alleged criminals, as follows:
Shawn Lee Jackson, DOB 3/7/89, is formally charged with burglary and sits in jail with a $60,000 bail. His address, according to the jail roster, is 3102 Fremont Ave. N. This is the same address listed by predatory offender Jamal Lee Brown, mentioned in a previous jailhouse nugget blog posting, click here.
This brief mention of Shawn Lee Jackson caused one reader (apparently not a regular reader of this blog) to send me a brief email, which I summarized and added as a comment to the same blog post, as follows:
Received info today from a reader saying "Shawn Lee Jackson" came into his house, uninvited, while "my wife and I were watching a movie" and "he now gets to chill up in St. Cloud. Keep up the good work."
The reader also added the following:
His girlfriend was driving the get a way car. She is Jessica Bennette Brown. She is on the Hennepin County Ten most wanted list.....Captured now."
Also noted that if she pleads not guilty, her case might be next week.

When I receive unsolicited emails, I always ask myself...
"Is this sincere? Or is this just somebody messing with me?" I only intended to add the information as a comment, another little "information coin" in the deposits of "social capital" represented by this blog. But as often happens with information on this blog, it caught somebody's interest and that somebody (a behind the scenes researcher) followed up and did some digging, appearing to confirm the commentary of the fan who emailed me and adding a wealth of additional info.
First of all, it seems the incident described in the email references Anoka County case number 02-CR-08-9948, State of Minnesota v. Shawn Lee Jackson, filed on 08-08-2008. The incident can be found in a community report about Fridley, available online in not terribly convenient form. See page 4 and also 6, click here, "Fridley Detectives Nab Robbery Suspects" and "The Tale of Two Robbery Suspects." One of the suspects is identified as Shawn Lee Jackson.
Here's ANOTHER picture of him, just because I don't want it to go to waste.
The sentencing was documented by local grassroots journalists who put their reporting on YouTube.
Wow. You just never know when a jailhouse nugget will turn out to be the tip of an interesting iceberg. And isn't participatory media a wonder? Somebody can see the name of a suspect online and add their own personal details to what is being said. Somebody else becomes interested in those details and starts digging. This becomes fodder for a new blog post.
And the whole cycle starts all over again.
