DeWayne Day, who won the "lottery scratch off" of violent drug crime when he drew Honorable Pamela Alexander as a judge, (click here and here for previous articles) has been associated with a number of residential addresses in North Minneapolis.
I'm about to dig into ALL of them...
The most recent criminal complaint against day (house full of crack and weapons, THAT one) mentions that he was residing at 3747 Oliver Ave. N., where the warrant was served. That address is a rental owned by Dennis Christ (sic) of Scandia, Minnesota. His address in Scandia is 10984 228th St. North.
There are some businesses associated with 3747 Oliver Ave. N., which are R&S Trailer Leasing, Inc and Couture Logistics, LLC and Gs Transportation, Inc. There is also a "Gary R. Smith, Jr." associated with the address. All this turns up in a Google search of the address.
I am not sure what all this means, but sometimes this blogger is simply laying down the trail of crumbs for articles that come later when problem houses associated with problem people become bigger problems later.
Though Day was associated with the address at 3747 Oliver Ave. N., the criminal complaint actually lists his home address as 1430 Oliver Ave. N. That property is a homestead owned by William C. Young, who is listed along with his wife, Sheila M. Young, as a taxpayer.
A listing of various contacts the police had with Day contains a number of addresses, as well.
*7463 Brooklyn Blvd Apt 7.
* 717 Bryant Ave. N., a search of which produces confusing results, but all in all it appears to be public housing.
* 3515 Russell Ave. N., and now we're getting somewhere. This is a rental owned by Trio Investments LLC of 1217 Vincent Ave. N.
Looking into THAT periphery address, 1217 Vincent Ave. N. is owned by Thomas P. Wolfe of that same address, listed as taxpayer along with Nicole M. Wolfe.
A jail roster published on this blog in July of this year lists the following resident of 3515 Russell Ave. N.:
BATES, ONTARIO.TREMELL 12/20/1980 3515 RUSSELL AVE N, MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55412
That just makes me want to dig into this guy's criminal record, and so I did, and he has a rap sheet as long as my arm. Not all these charges may represent actual CONVICTIONS.
3515 Russell Ave. N. was one of a number of foreclosures in 2008. Looks like, unfortunately, it fell into the hands of investors who stockpiled it with scum.
Moving on, folks, moving on...
*3807 Aldrich Ave. N. is another address associated with Day. That address is condemned as of May of this year, and boarded up. It is, however, owned by some guy named Usiholo Peter Musa Agboneni. The taxpayer is listed as PMA Properties LLC of Brooklyn Park.
JNS blog readers will remember this address as the place surrounded by police with an armed man inside back in March of this year. I guess the siege really took a toll on the property. As documented by Hawthorne Hawkman's blog, 3807 Aldrich Ave. N. was once owned by Equitron Holdings, a scammy name if I've ever heard one. Also, 3807 Aldrich Ave. N. was once associated with an entity called Wildxtasy Lingerie.
Seriously. I remember writing about THAT during the siege situation.
But moving on, folks, moving out of the lingerie and into the rest of the blog posting...
*3115 Girard Ave. N., Apartment 2. That one is confusing because it doesn't EXIST. There's a Girard Ave. SOUTH with that number, but there's no Girard Ave. N.
So we end with that address, which is kind of a downer and anti-climactic but hey...
So what is the point of this exercise?
Problem addresses attract problem people. And those problem people at those problem addresses have landlords SOMEWHERE, most likely NOT in North Minneapolis living with the scummy tenants who write their rental checks. The names of those landlords will, most assuredly, end up here on Johnny Northside blog.
